It's especially nothing new with ABC. Stephen Nichols and Mary Beth Evans(DAYS), Lane Davies and Nancy Lee Grahn(SB), Jason Cook and Kirsten Storms (DAYS) all on GH.

It's one thing when Zimmer opens her big mouth of her own free will... It's even worse when someone feels the need to ASK her to do it as if it HAS to be done! Oy! Can't we enjoy the silence?

It's one thing to be hypocritical -- it's another to feign naive. She knows full well what ABC hopes to achieve by having two useless actors from her cheaply produced, lowest rated CBS soap paired up on AMC... Ooops, damn... I think my bias was showing... but anyway, moving on. ABC wants to lure those IckyBethEllin fans away from CBS and over to ABC. It is NOT rocket science. If she's confused, she should ask her executive director or her vice president of writing.

In my opinion, she's just being typical Zimmer. That's why I need to see the article in its whole context -- rather than a "Oooh, look what I found interesting" snippet. Was she asked about her feelings about losing Beth Ehlers? Losing Ricky Small Goldin? Losing both of them? Losing them to another soap? Losing them to another network? Losing them period?

I'm wondering whether KZ is just pointing out the same thing we've been observing: that soaps do it all the time but it rarely works. If so, she's talking sense.

It does sound a bit like sour grapes but can you blame her? Or any of them over at GL looking jealously over their shoulder? The show has been haemoraging money and stars like nobody's business and apparently NOBODY enjoys the commute to NJ. KZ is a name vet with a loyal fanbase but even she must know that the other soaps are dying to scoop up Gina Tognoni, Daniel Cosgrove, Robert Bogue, Marcy Rylance, heck Robert Newman, before they call her. Female, over 40, who speaks out to the press? Yeah, Frons has you on speed-dial.

It's nice to hear she's been consistently so kind to you. Makes me look at her a little differently.

at the emmys she seen me tryign to meet some stars and was in line to checkin for the afterparty and left line to come over and say hi to me and other fans. the only star that did that. she was also very opena nd honest, as expected, but not a diva bitch kind of way. in thatw ay they you feel like are talking to an old friend. you would ask her a q and she would say 'oh, hunnie. listen to this' and go on about some stoy that ended up connecting to the answer. i was amazed by here because i had just expected.. well not that.

I was waiting for posts like this when I saw this thread started. I really don't get all the KZ animosity here at SON. I'm not complaining, I would just like to understand it. No other star gets this kind of treatment on this board.

I love her too. She's absolutely fabulous and one of the ONLY reasons to watch GL these days IMO.

IA that her prospects might be low if GL were to get canceled or whatever. And GL does have many younger stars that would probably be gone faster than she would (but Rob Bogue?? Don't think so), but she's a great actress IMO. Believe this - any show that would land KZ would be yelling from the rooftops promoting her.
