I watched bits and pieces of it today. I thought the ending with Stefano was vintage Days. I thought Days was better than OLTL...go figure.

.this is an episode that Days fan should treasure....The Bo and Hope stuff was marvelous, so much better than i thought it would turn out...Loved the flashbacks, the carriage ride (so happy we got a location shoot), and i enjoyed all the girls making Hope look beautiful..Its episodes like this when Chelsea is away from Daniel, that i love her character..And so nice seeing Julie, she looks great with grey in her hair..and Kayla looked cute in her scrubs..

also i like that Bo shaved for the wedding, just a nice and realistic thing to do..and i liked Chelsea comment about it making him look younger..

Now onto the hospital..Excellent stuff..Loved Stefano revealing that he was awake to Tony and then EJ, wonder how long it takes them both to realize that the other knows...Anna was a freaking riot..It was funny seeing Tony freak out when Anna was threatening Stefano, as he knew Stefano could hear..I'm so excited to see Anna and Tony back in the forefront for the next few weeks..What a treat for the fans, and finally something important for them to do..As opposed to that stupid advertising storyline...

John's one lines rocked today, especially when he asked if he could watch Stefano get electro shock therapy...I have a feeling this Stefano/John rivalry is going to be intense...Can't wait to watch it unfold..

And finally i was shocked to see Marlena at the end of the episode and we got a fantastic cliffhanger..I don't know how long it will last..But Days is definitely back!!!!

So I just starting DVR'ing and watching every day (use to catch it once and a while on SoapNet)--I will agree, this week has been good, especially today. I liked Melanie as well.

2 random questions--what does Trent have on Nicole? And can someone give me a rundown on the most recent stuff with John...that is, why the hair?

Today's episode . . . wow. It's the first time in a long time where I can't analyze why I liked the entire show from start to finish. I think that's a good thing actually. That's when the show is working -- it just happens and I don't try to figure out why I liked something, why something worked. I just enjoy it. I truly did not think Hope and Bo's renewal would be as good as this. But I got teary eyed watching it (and I loved getting teary eyed LOL). At the same time, the scenes with Tony/EJ/Stefano/Anna/Lexie, again, just plain good soap opera with good tension. I think Stefano's return this time is going to be spot on (fingers, eyes, toes crossed). And I loved seeing Marlena at the end, on the phone, walking into the back room as if all were right with the world. That's when I knew something bad was going to happen LOL. And I loved it!

Gotta say that i liked that Marlena didn't show up until the end..I read the spoiler about her getting stalked, but i forgot all about it..And didn't think it was starting today, because we didn't see Marlena for the majority of the episode..So that truly was a great cliffhanger..and i can never get enough of Stefano's evil laugh...

That is the first true cliffhanger that I've seen on Days in years. The type of scene where I said, "Oh sh*t, it's time to pay the piper . . . someone's going to get it!" And I'm not worried about the follow through. I'm sure it will be good. If we get more like this, to make people want to tune in and see what's next, perhaps this thread may start getting busier.

Well, I can honestly say that I haven't been watching regularly since the beginning of summer, unfortunately. Starting with Stefano's return, this show has got me hooked once again.

CAN YOU BELIEVE WE ACTUALLY GOT A CLIFFHANGER AT THE END OF YESTERDAY'S SHOW?! I was extremely shocked because Marlena just popped out of nowhere.

Today's show was excellent with Bope's wedding, the numerous flashbacks, the happiness, the suspense and intrigue (Marlena/Stefano/John). The ending with the guy from The Salem Spectator really surprised me. Gee, that blew their happiness out the window, .

For the first time in what it seems like AGES, I cannot wait for tomorrow's show to begin. Finally some great storytelling!

I was able to watch the show live today and yesterday and both shows were wonderful, I read spoilers for the next few weeks and it seems the fun is just beginning!

It just goes to show you if you showcase the Dimeras, Hortons, Bradys, the show will be better, instead of showcasing Dan/Chelsea, Stephn/Max, or the Nicole/EJ/Sami/Lucas/Chloe mess.

Finally Days has gone back to the classic families of the show. I hope this continues.

The show seems like it's back to normal for now. Whoever is responsible (who knows really....) Thank You! It actually feels like I'm watching Days again for the first time in a long time, and judging from the spoilers, it looks like we are in for several weeks of good, solid stories. Stefano is acting more like himself this go round. Marlena is actually acting like she's not a constant victim (even if Steffy's first act is drugging her, atleast she was willing to stab someone). John is acting a little less like Jawn and more like the shows hero. Now, if they just FINALLY let him go back to normal..

One thing is certain, the show is better. Much better.

AND, kudo's to the Bope remarriage. This show is the symbollic couple for it's silver age. Today we saw Doug and Julie, Bo and Hope, & John and Marlena. Throw in a little Stefano and Tony (w/ Anna), and you have yourself a Days episode thats not just watchable, but fun to watch.

I agree. I want to see John as the show's hero (at least one of them) again. Hopefully when something happens to Marlena, those old feelings will start to return (slowly). It would've been perfect if the writers built a relationship with John and a would-be villainess (not Ava since she was short term). And having Stefano in a storyline with John and Marlena just feels right again.
