July 31, 200817 yr Member Dreamin' of a 3.8 or 3.9. for Y&R. That would certainly get my hopes up. Won't happen :-). With the random fluctuation cycle that we have been in, and the fact that Y&R went up or stayed stable in the last few weeks, probability says it will go down. Now, I'm sure you mean that improved writing and heavy promotion should boost Y&R? In a just world, yes. But our weekly data analysis reveals ratings fluctuations are random, and have nothing to do with what is going on on screen . I guess I have said that before .
July 31, 200817 yr Member It really doesn't matter to me since I am not watching anymore (6 weeks soap free now), but for the fans who still watch and out of my love for the genre I will wish that most soaps go up. there are a few that shouldn't - they should really be put out of their misery, but for the fans watching I will wish with the rest that they all go up.

I'm fully aware of that, I just like to dream a bit. It won't surprise me if it falls.
July 31, 200817 yr Webmaster I'll predict that the one show that goes up will be the one show that doesn't deserve it. General Hospital
July 31, 200817 yr Member I really hope that OLTL goes up, I thought last week was AWESOME. I agree....and last week we had the two special 40th anniversary episodes, the first OLTL appearance of Agnes Nixon, and the returns of several former cast members. I pray that it goes up.
