Jeanne, Jess, Melody & Joshua were really, really good.

Doug Davidson & Vail Bloom make a cute Father/Daughter team.

Emily O'Brien continues to be wasted.

Emily O'Brien continues to be wasted.

She is. But considering what transformations her characters went through for the sole reason she turned the material around gives me still hope that she will get a deserving storyline one day.

But 2007 Nikki wasn't Nikki.

You got that right. I never liked the b*tch before...

The problem with CK when they write her with good material. It look like it takes a lot out of her & she goes back to sugary sweet Lily. Who never gotten std, almost rape, decieveing people about Daniel where abouts, went on the run, saw a dead body, went to jail, got caught in bed with Daniel by her parents, runaway to get married, & divorce.

I'll grant you that. Lily should, at this point, have a dark, cynical core...and that is NOT the Lily we are seeing. I can't figure if that is the actress or the writing/direction.

It's the actress.

But 2007 Nikki wasn't Nikki. That was a new character, a Senate candidate, played by Melody Thomas Scott, I suspect against her will.. MTS, to her credit, kept Nikki alive inside this other woman, and brought her back to life in the aftermath of Out of The Ashes. We've had real-Nikki ever since!

Didn't care for her much before 07 either lol. I'd say it was around 03/04 that I really started to dislike her. She was just so smug and self-righteous, acting like she was better then everyone else.

^^^Toups I know EXACTLY what you mean. I'm loving the dark change on Y&R lately. This whole story has brought out the best in everyone involved.

Touche.

TPTB need to end Jana/Kevin & put her with Cane.

It's the actress.

Amen.

Jack Abbott.

The Cliff Barnes of daytime soaps.

He seems to be poised to restart the Victor/Jack feud.

And also.......Katherine/Jill/Nikki, and maybe Nick/Victor Jr.

If it is written right all hell is about to break loose.....for the first time in a year.

And......is TGVN serious about battling the Mob?!

OMG tomorrow's US episode is EXCELLENT. It's dramatic, touching, haunting just excellence. But holy f!ck did Victor REALLY just

grab Nikki's arm like that in the previews. That bastard better STEP OFF.

Finally, some worthwhile stories to watch.

Wow!! What a fantastic episode! The ending is really good - the last scene and the second last scene. Great cliffhanger!!

;)

While watching the episode, I just had a feeling, like I can see where the show is going. It was a great feeling. :)

It was either Hogan Sheffer or Marla Kanelos who wrote the breakdown. Sandra Weintraub wrote the dialgoue.

Maybe this August hype is real, I've noticed storylines actually going places these days and core characters and core feuds up-front again. I'm interesting in seeing how August and the fall plays out. Also, with Sabrina gone, I'm intrigued about the location shoot in Paris for, I think, November sweeps.

All this conflict and darker overtones has to be Sheffer's influence, because that just isn't Maria's (or Griffith's) style at all. If it were up to her, everyone would be living perfect lives on the show.

Word!

I loved the flashback with Victor Jr and Victor, and then Adam claiming himself Victor Adam Newman. This is getting sooo good. I didn't even expect Nikki to walk in on that last scene. But that was an excellent Friday cliffhanger. No gimmicks, just stories reaching there climax
