These past couple of episodes have been better because it's focused on business. I was surprised Owen told Donna about his deal with Felicia.....but I'm suspecting he's still working for Felicia and this is his way of getting Donna to "trust him."

I don't like the new editing style. First the quick-cuts across Los Angeles, then today we had the camera pan with quick flashes to the next scene (okay, that's a bad description, but it was early on when it was from Ridge to Donna....or was it Donna to Ridge....can't remember). Then at the end of the episode we had the Port-Charles style of quick-cut-to-black. Please go back to the traditional ways, B&B!

There is still something more to his story. I don't know if he is still working for Felicia but there is some agenda he has and I am just dying to figure out what it is.

It has been nice on the show the last couple of days have been Nick/Kate/Bridget triangle light. Sure haven't missed that trio.

I totally disagree. I love it. And as Jana Hawkes would say: Ridge has bad karma. :D

Considering Eric DID NOT sign the papers, Forrester stock has NOT been distributed amongst family, I guess his proxy will go to Donna. Eric's spoiled brats will go nuts - can't wait to see it. Don't spoil me though, I've just seen Monday so far...

The Forrester business drama is so much better than the ugly hell we've been through those last two months. Every single with either Nick (except when Hope is around), Katie and Bridget (not Eric related) still stinks to heaven but overall, I'm as pleased with the show as I haven't been in quite a while. There is still LOADS of room for improvement but the general premise is there.

As for the new look: Finally there are new shots of L.A.! University hopsital got more exteriors shots, there was a close-up at FC we didn't have so far and I guess with an upcoming Malibu beach location shoot we'll get new shots as well from that. The corny music is ok, although I miss old-school intro but the wild and crazy editing is way too much. I think we all get hip: B&B is just SO hip :P - can we now please move on and tone it down a bit?

Word. Today's episode was good with the exception of the Nick/Katie stuff.

Donna fired Ridge, Thorne and Felicia!! :o This business storyline and Marcus/Steffy is making B&B enjoyable again.

I gotta gripe about the ending again.....please stop the cut-to-black.....it totally ruined the ending. It should've been cut to Thorne, cut to Felicia, cut to Ridge, cut to Brooke for reaction shots then cut to Donna then fade to black on Donna.

Liked the big fight between everybody today. I wish Felicia had let Donna or Owen have it more than she did. Almost felt like LK was being held back by what she had to say. I was a little surprised Thorne was outspoken and negative towards Donna since the point was to try to get her to like them all. Now I guess we have to wait for Eric to wake up before anything gets resolved.

And the whole time Owen was there, I was wondering WHY he was there. I understand that Donna had him there to expose Felicia. But he's not family at all and is brand new to LA. I would've thought Ridge or Thorne wouldn've been like why the F are you here?

THAT WITCH!!!! LOL!

Today's episode was pretty good. Donna was such a witch and I actually liked it:

Donna: "Look to Eric's son, Rick Forrester, head of our international division, to take on more responsibility . He and his export/import team will be working with my son, Marcus, who will be supervising shipping and receiving."

Female Reporter: "Won't Thorne be resuming his former position as President?"

Donna: "Thorne and Felicia have been devastated by their father's illness ... and will be stepping down."

Jarod: "Then Ridge will be filling in as CEO and President?"

Donna: "Ridge will be leaving the company as well. I will be running Forrester Creations!"

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

I know exactly what you mean, but I have hope.

She really nailed it as the evil Grace Turner on Y&R.

It sounds like this next iteration of Donna is nasty and in control. I KNOW Gareis can play that! So, we may be seeing a story that plays more to her strengths (rather than bimbo being buffeted by romantic travails). This really could be an improvement.

And here is why I love/hate B&B :-). Because last week or maybe two weeks ago I was ready to permanently cancel it. But if Ridge and the Forrester Kids are getting canned, I am SO back!

In the long run, as I wrote in a DOOL thread a bit back, variability is a bad thing...it makes you hate a show that is not consistent. But, in the short term, if B&B can get some campy corporate stuff going again...we're in for a good few weeks ;)

    • She did have a thing with him in the late '90s, before she inexplicably disappeared with no mention as to why, although I can't remember if they had sex.
    • I don't believe she did. She did sleep with Simon, believing he was a Spaulding.
    • -- If I ever get sick, please don't send me to Garland Memorial. That hospital is a YIKES. -- Soooo much activity around the main nurses' desk. Do they move dead people on a gurney past that desk, too? -- 8 months for Bill to recover from a "small stroke"? Uh....I don't think so. Is anyone researching this stuff? The hospital stuff is not coming off as realistic. -- It's good that Derek and Ashley are being integrated into other stories, but it's a real stretch to say Leslie was "stalking" Ashley. It makes Derek seem dumber than we already think he is. -- Ashley spends a lot of time having small talk while she's at work. -- Chelsea is embarrassing. Period. -- Tomas is supposed to pick up the slack for Bill, but he has time to have worthless conversations with Leslie? OK then. -- Kat is destroying the case against Leslie, but that's clearly the way to keep Leslie on the canvas.
    • 6-3   I almost let my system just delete the episode just like with B&B. I am now questioning if I should have. lol.   I just can't believe that Cole sat there and started to get sick and then only Victoria off and ran off and everyone basically went back to what they were doing at Nikki's birthday party. Cole was too much of a vet character for that. And now story back off-screen.   I did chuckle at how much Victor pay Kyle dust. And now Kyle with this deal and a promise to leave town if he hurts Claire. smh. As if Victor isn't going to make that happen.   It was lovely to see Ashley. And actually (misdressed and all) Abby.    And I liked Claire's dress.
    • Oh. That. I pretend that never happened.

I did think of another possibility. Did India ever sleep with Alan? They kind of toyed with pairing them up, but I'm not sure they ever became lovers.
    • While I do love the chaotic energy that is Kat vs Lesile, it is a bit extra. Sheltered, virginal Kat who plays it safe from her man to her wardrobe understands that Leslie is dangerous, but she's out here showing up everywhere and anywhere that Lesile is to be found and actively going to places where she is alone? I mean Kat doesn't even act a little afraid or intimidated by Leslie. Meanwhile, big Ole Derek out here begging for his and Ashley's life to Jacob.  As for Dani, I didn't see it that way. Dani and Bill were together for 30 years and shared a family. I believe there was real love there at one point. Bill is still an ass and Dani is still crazy, but realizing she may lose him and her daughter's may lose their dad definitely struck a chord.
    • Funny I randomly saw Kami’s lengthy post about the 44th anniversary of the Walton’s finale last week pop up in my news feed on Facebook. A few inaccuracies to her post but overall it was pretty insightful and interesting to read.
    • Well, depending on rewrites...Jennifer Richards potentially slept with Brandon and Alan. It does feel like we're forgetting someone, but then again, maybe I'm confusing that with brothers, which would include a lot more.
    • Maybe it’s me, and the fact that RC isn’t at the helm, but since Cwikly and Ford have taken over I’ve noticed the show doing a lot of things differently directing wise, and since the storyline of John’s demise began, the show has been using different scores, and dare I say better ones than this time last year. It’s interesting and I wonder if the any of it is Noel Maxam’s influence before being promoted.
    • I think Nicole is about to figure out what's going on between Andre and Dani.
