So sorry to hear about Patrick.  He was always one of my favorites.  I never forgot his portrayal of John Morrison and I was thrilled to be able to see him again.  His wife was so sweet in indulging those of us who were #TeamJohn.  From her accounts, he seemed to get a kick out of that, lol.

Jada Rowland was married for 4 years to writer Nicholas Hyams and then to Michael Grassly who was a California surfer who sold surfing goods. Her son sparks Blue was born Nov 1 1974. In 1978 Grassly was murdered.

Slaying Victim Is Identified Santa Cruz sentinel Oct 15 1978

A young man killed during a tragic murder-suicide in Capitola Friday morning has been identified as Michael Grassly, a 28-year-old sales representative for a local wetsuit company. Meanwhile, a young woman who was stabbed by her estranged boyfriend during the same incident was in stable condition at Dominican Hospital's intensive care ward Saturday.

Kristine Hofshieir was taken from her Capitola cottage with a single stab wound in her back after her ex-lover burst into her home and discovered she and Grassly together, said Capitola Police detectives. The estranged boyfriend John Leslie Buckley, 33, 2695 East Cliff Drive then apparently committed suicide by jumping off a 100-foot cliff following the stabbing of Hofshieir and Grassly.

Detective Tom Hanna of the Capitola Police Department said Buckley apparently had a key to Hofshieir's small bungalow and had let himself inside the home early Friday. Once inside, Buckley discovered Hofshieir with Grassly and stabbed them both, he continued. Buckley, the manager for NHS Inc., a local skateboard manufacturing company, had apparently been estranged from Hofshieir for about four weeks. Detectives said Hofshieir had become acquainted with Grassly during the past week and had been warned by Buckley not to see him. Officers are still unable to determine exactly events of that morning.

Grassly was an East Coast sales representative for O'Neill's a local wetsuit and surfboard manufacturing company. Buckley had worked for O'Neill's before joining NHS. Private family visitation services were held Saturday for Grassly, who lived in Florida. He is survived by his wife, Jada Grassly of New York; a son, Sparks Blue Grassly of New York; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Grassly of Malibu; two brothers, David Grassly of Ocean City, Md., and Don Grassly of Venice, Calif. Interment is under the direction of the IOOF Cemetery in Santa Cruz. Local arrangements were handled by Arnold's Funeral Home, 1902 Ocean St.

Jada later gave an in-depth interview to one of the magazines on the subject. She said that David O'Brien especially was hugely supportive. Jada also mentioned that she was thinking of writing a book about her experiences to help others, but I don't think it ever came to fruition.

I have been trying to find episodes of THE DOCTORS online, but so far nothing.  I'm also curious as to why the constant revolving door or head writers

I agree about Patrick Horgan.  He was always a delight to me.  On The Doctors, he often had to talk to himself or a prop, rather than another actor, and he was still fun to watch.

    • I don't think he ever gained much traction on GH. He should have stayed with The Doctors. Was Mark just a toned-down version of Nick? Were they basically the same character?
    • All I can think of is if a lot of big names were leaving around that time she wanted him back as a stopgap, although I have never seen any real evidence that he was popular with GH viewers.
    • I loved watching Shanice hand Leslie her ass and finally shutting her up. It was so good. I also love Martin & Smitty's family.  Anita has to have some sort of plan giving Leslie the tickets to mail for Winterfest. She has to be setting her up for a fall. It's pretty obvious to me Vernon is not cheating with Sharon. I think Sharon is helping him with his terrible singing voice for Winterfest. I still believe Bill & Dani are endgame but I love Dani & Andre too. I am definitely enjoying this story. And making Hayley a black widow is a nice twist.
    • Sorry for the spam. Wasn't sure where to put this, it's from Tony Geary's husband's IG. Tony watching Genie and Maurice on Mo's show.
    • This show is really trundling along BTW. When is someone going to show up to slit Beastmaster's throat or crack the whip on metrosexual Sidwell? (BTW, openly presenting this cheery bon vivant as casually bisexual would at least be something vaguely diverting.) At least kill Brennan by year's end. I'm bored.
    • She told Vanessa to "DOUBLE her offer" on the Jarvis house.  The Jarvis family accepted the doubled price.  Assuming the house has an appraised value of $2,000,000, she's theoretically paid the Jarvis family $4,000,000 for the house.  The bank would loan Leslie 80% of the appraised value ($1,600,000), and Leslie had to pay the balance with cash at closing --- $2,200,000.  She only had ONE million.  Where the hell did she get the rest?!  And now she's got contractors working on the house all day & half the night.  Who's paying THEM?  I keep thinking all this will crash around her.  Either that or the writers have absolutely no idea the limits of a million dollars.  Sounds like a "lot of money", but it obviously ain't when we look at Leslie's spending since she got that million dollar check in August.

    • Vernon is an idiot. Why would he have Sharon in the same hotel that Leslie is staying at?
    • Yes, that out of the blue return was odd. Maybe GG found a forgotten clause in the contract he signed when he was wooed to ABC and they were forced to take him back! Like George Reinholt he talked about the contract that promised him primetime roles. But it was loaded in the networks favor. I think it was Gloria Loring that re-signed at Days on the promise of primetime opportunities, but that was all it was- she was put up for guest spots and TV movies but not necessarily guaranteed that she get the role.
    • I still am baffled by why Monty brought back stunt hire Gerald Gordon in the early '80s out of nowhere for like a year. I haven't found anyone who can come up with a thing he did in that second stint of note.
