I honestly do not see the point of Max coming back again.

Zoe does not surprise me. I've been waiting for that since Bionic Woman flopped in the US, frankly. I'm not against it vs. some other pointless returns.

Some returns work and some don't, some are just there. Like, am I grateful that Kathy is alive? Yes, absolutely. Do I love any of her stories? No. But she's not utterly destroyed, she's just there.

I do think she's been pretty wrecked, having tried to kill someone in cold blood, letting her whole family (including the woman pregnant with her great-grandchild) get charged or questioned, and having no remorse, but it doesn't matter as much because Kathy has not existed as a character since Gillian's return anyway. 

There are reasons to bring Max back, like Lauren and his not knowing he had a child with Linda, but he is exhausted, with Jake Wood phoning it in years before he left. 

I am a little surprised about Zoe because Michelle Ryan said for years she didn't want to return, to the point of even asking the show to recast the role, but I guess this may only be a short stint. I wouldn't be shocked if they kill Zoe off.

And yeah, Kathy's done all those things but tbh given the current tally for ruinous character choices in EE in recent years I'm kind of numb to it and find hers small potatoes by comparison.

You're right, but that also sums up why the show is so unwatchable these days. Any character could go on a Postal-style rampage and it would generate a shrug.

I had such a crush on Zoe as a Kid. She was so fit. The only that took that Place for me was Roxy.

Lacey who plays Stacey slater will leave This Show too later that year. I know Zoe has no real ties to any of them since she left but maybe she will be involved there in her Exit ? I Wonder the Story possibilitys for Zoe !

ONLY story I hated was Zoe and Dirty den! It looked Like she was laying in Bed with a corpse 

I'm furious that hack new producer is bringing back the wrong Ben Mitchell. Just bring back Harry Reid for goodness sake.

I could believe the possible spoiler about another landlady as Kat seems likely temporary/placeholder to me. 

I don't hate the idea of Kat being in the Vic, especially as the overhyped drag parody that is Elaine (even if they have belatedly tried to humanize her) and dullard George and his dull children do nothing for me. I just wish Kat was in a stronger place. They have shown so little of her in the last few years in stories that should have been stronger than they are, and it's not just because of Jessie's suspensions or injury breaks.

I feel like they have already been rested as it is. I've rarely seen a cancer story for a major character treated as casually as it was with Alfie. I would probably write him out and have Kat on her own as they seem to have no ability to write for a serious Alfie or to rein Shane in.
