I was rather disappointed that there has been so much time between Nash's death & the funeral....of course in soap days, I wonder how many it has been. In real time, for me anyhow, the momentum was lost. I just wasn't feeling it like I felt the actual death. I really wish they would have given us a few Nash flashbacks too. Just didn't have the impact I think & wished it would've. (I think Valenti must have really disliked Forbes March!!)

Am LOVING Tina....what could possibly have made her stay away from her family??? I got the impression as she spoke with whoever was on the phone (her husband the Prince??) that she is being kept on a shorter leash than David Vickers. LOL I'm really looking forward to this storyline. I will be sorry if they recast Justis Bolding- now that she's been given someone to act with besides Chris & Leyla, I think she is doing well. Loved the song she sang for Nash.

Todd & Marty....have to say I FF them.Hope she finds out her history with Todd sooner rather than later....ick!

...and please, Gigi...tell Rex...sooner the better...but yeah, its a soap so I'm not holding my breath.

My favorite scenes today were with Roxy, Rex, Natalie and Jared in Angel Square. I loved Roxy's vulnerability with Rex. She hurt my heart. Roxy is not a traditional mother, to say the least, but her love for Rex and her hurt at the cut were heartwrenching for me. I really liked the camaraderie between Jared, Natalie and Roxy. They're so comfortable. As a viewer I kind of needed that to relieve some of the tension that every other interaction seems to be loaded with. And "Natty" and Rex. I love how Rex is still so very angry with Natalie, and so capable of calling her out on that, but he still loves her and that shines through. THAT's what family is supposed to look like.

Loved the ep, don't have much to say but... I thought Sarah's vocal chords were slashed and she could no longer sing?

Todd's new house is *weird*. I thought Llanview was an old city? But it seems lately every new house on a soap has the weirdest design or floor plan (don't get me started on Zach's on AMC).

Otherwise loved nearly everything :D

ANy other Canadians who watch the mid episodes Soap's Up segment (filmed right here in my hometown of Victoria--I've met the host--really sweet woman)we get for AMC and OLTL hear the phone interview she did with Tom Casiello about his views of the show now? Pretty intereesting stuff, though we knew most of it from his blog.

Just got around to watching yesterday's show(stupid news interruption) and I really enjoyed it. I usually find Roxy annoying but I'm really sympathizing with her and am really curious as to who Rex's father could be. I was also glad to see a softer side of Tina today and I'm very glad they starting to show more layers and not just let her be a cartoon cut-out.

On a kind of positive note, Layla was on today but on a negative note she didn't seem sad at all. I really think the writers forgot that she and Nash were friends and it's upsetting. Nash told Layla about his affair with Jess and it was because of that conversation that Cris found out, how can they forget something like that? :(

I actually liked that it took a couple of days/or weeks for the funeral to occur. It irks me a little when soaps (OLTL did this with Asa's death, and it irked me a little) have the funeral happen the next episode after a character has died. I find it more realistic that the show shows a few days pass between the death and the funeral while also illustrating the ripple effects the death has upon the characters. But that's just me ;).

I enjoyed yesterday's episode very much. The funeral has gotten off to a fantastic drama filled start. I cannot wait for it to play out....

...and FINALLY we get a cliffhanger! I think it was one of the best since Nash fell through the skylight.

I hate that the writers aren't writing for Layla. They didn't acknowledge her friendship with Nash & they didn't give her and Adriana a goodbye scene. It's weird that the last person Adriana would visit was Marcie and not her best friend.

Jessica: You are trailer trash!

Bree Williamson is doing a fantastic job with the material she's been given. You can see the hurt in Jessica's eyes, and you can tell how uncomfortable everyone in the room is as she screams at Natalie and Jared.

    • I don't mind Jan either. If anything, they could be using her more to get her daughter's POV. Not to mention her role as one of the Have-Nots.    I also don't mind the local talent. Just look at soaps that were in NY or the shows that film there, they always go for the local talent and we get to find new faves.
    • I'm not going to watch (because...well...that M-dude...lol) but knowing the history between Henry and Roger, I could see Henry wanting to enable Hart to stay independent of Roger. I could even see it as Henry having the last laugh at Roger. Roger hated "the Henry's" of the world, which basically meant anyone who had money and social prominence. Twice Roger swindled Henry out of a chunk of his fortune, so giving some to Hart, who hates his father, is a form of karma.
    • Ashley and Derek have to go- they really throw off the pace of the show.  Today was the first time I fast-forwarded through their scenes. The writing and acting is just bad for both characters.
    • Jon is stuck in a story that isn't popular but with Cady I feel like the issue is that she was clearly thrown in with no real purpose. I still don't understand why she pops up. I recall early on it being said she owned a spa but we've never seen it. That could've been an interesting location for people to meet. She also could've worked better as Smitty's mom, but instead we get this random agent of Dani's who pops up twice a month? A total waste. I mostly agree. I do feel like Jan could be elevated with a name soap actress, someone like Judi Evans or Kassie DePaiva comes to mind, but they're limited to who is in Atlanta. Keeping that in mind I think the current actress is fine.
    • It's great to see. My thoughts might be a little different, but for the most part, I am excited and interested in most of the storylines. Yeah, you're right. This is probably how she (Dani) normally acts. And, I do not like it!  I agree; this is another distraction while she heals her wounds. If I weren't an Eva fan, she helped me root for her even more. As I said a month ago, I hope they take their time with her modeling agency. I would love to see her face a few obstacles before becoming a huge success.
    • I like that there are a lot of local performers on this soap and I'm glad they've resisted so far on hiring too many soap performers.   Cady has been awkward on the show thus far and Jon seems to have polarizing as well. I say focus on the local talent and giving those people a job and exposure.. and leave the P & G soap opera performers in the past.
    • Who do you think would be good for the show among the ATWT/GL cast?
