June 23, 200817 yr Administrator #3. Someone totally new from outside of the genre. Face it, Y&R needs some innovative refocusing. We have bad younger actors, bad storylines, and bad execution. I'd love to see what a soap fan, from outside of the daytime arena that hasn't worked on daytime before could do with the show. Not for Y&R though. Y&R was a show that was built from within and only those people can save the show, IMO. You need those core builders back.

June 23, 200817 yr Member Who is rain1 and why does s/he have any credibility? Who else has been saying that JG is on his way out?
June 23, 200817 yr Member ^ Read his old posts. He's broken many stories before news hit the web. He's the real deal.
June 23, 200817 yr Member Who is rain1 and why does s/he have any credibility? Who else has been saying that JG is on his way out? rain has been giving us scoops on whats been happening behind the scenes since Hogan Sheffer joined Y&R as co-head. They're a credible source. They first broke the news that B&E were out at AMC and that Charles Pratt J.R was replacing them.
June 23, 200817 yr Author Member As long as Bloom hires someone with a decent reputation, I'm all for this move. Griffith needed to be fired along with Latham, it's clear that he's an amateur and has been pushing a lot of the same agenda story-wise that Latham was pushing. Please Bloom, either hire someone from the old team like David Shaughnessy or your friend with talent, Wendy Riche!
June 23, 200817 yr Member thjey do need someone LIKE JFP. (note, LIKE not actually JFP, lol) to just come in cut the dead weight, whip the show into order, and get it on track. idk who that is.. but it can be done. please... stop using people that have already done the job, esp if they sucked. get some new blood into daytime people.
June 23, 200817 yr Author Member Not that it counts for anything, but e-mail Barbara Bloom and tell her to make the right decision and tell her who you want. [email protected] Edited June 26, 200817 yr by Y&RWorldTurner

June 23, 200817 yr Member I think at this point Y&R needs an EP who knows the show very well. This soap has lost all of it's trade marks in the last years and I don't think the viewers would like another big change. David Shaugnessy seems like the best solution right now. I'd love to see Sally Sussman Morina return as a consultant though.
June 23, 200817 yr Member I'd really like to have Shaughnessy back... or Ed Scott. But no Phelps. And no Griffith.
June 23, 200817 yr Member How about Lynn Marie Latham? Well that would get people talking! If I had to have her back...don't shoot...I'd rather have it as HW or co-HW (controlled strongly by a legacy writer and producer).
June 23, 200817 yr Author Member I've got the perfect EP for Y&R......Christopher Goutman. Then Latham can replace him as both EP and HW of ATWT.
