I used to think that having Michael and Marcie adopt lil Starrlet (WHOEVER came up with that, you are *brilliant*) was the best way for this storyline to go, but not anymore. We'll have Marcie get the baby, be happy, Todd finds out, he's pissed, he tries to blow some [!@#$%^&*] up or beats somebody's ass, Marcie hands over the baby, end of story. Sounds familiar?

What I want to see is Michael refusing to sign off on the adoption papers because he knows this will all blow up everybody's faces. Then there's conflict with Michael and Marcie, Cole and Starr are still having their angsty [!@#$%^&*] and so on and so on.

Major foreshadowing with Langston and Markko today, saying that they have a "long time" together.

Can we say terminal illness, anyone?

I wasn't feeling the rest of the LHS crew, but that one girl looked exactly like Erin Torpey!

Oh hell no. Marcie gets to keep Starrlet. Todd can blow up anything he wants, but if Starr and Marcie do a closed adoption Todd

has nothing to say about it. Todd needs to lose this time around. Poor Marty though, it's going to suck to know you share a grandchild with your rapist. I wonder if Cole has even considered that while the baby is part Patrick and Marty, it's also part of them man that hurt his mother so badly. Poor Starrlet will find that out someday if she stays with Cole and Starr.

ITA. That monster has been allowed to run roughshod over too many people's lives for too long. Todd is long overdue for a comeuppance, IMO; and short of killing him off or incarcerating him permanently, I'll settle for him losing all rights to his grandchild.

OTOH, All My Shadows makes a valid point; we know Todd has no respect or regard for the law (or others, or their well-being). You think a legal adoption will make any difference to that amoral sociopath? If anything, I see Todd abducting his grandchild, along with Sam and Jack, and making a run for it. (And if he does that? I hope it ends at the airport in a hail of gunfire, all of it aimed directly at Todd, and not a single bullet missing its target.)

No matter what happens with Cole and Starr's baby, I'm afraid this will end badly for all concerned.

Very true, that's one factor I forgot. I'd still like to see some kind of difference of decision with Michael and Marcie though. It'd be Michael and Cole who are against the adoption, with Starr and Marcie who are for it. But then again, I haven't read anything for certain that says whether or not Marcie changes her mind, so who knows what's gonna happen with that bunch.

If OLTL is around in 15-20 years (I'm not a naysayer, so I won't assume it'll be gone), I imagine Starrlet is gonna be one pissed off chick.

No, but I'm just saying that Todd had legal right when it came to Sam. The court did give him custody and while I sympathize with Marcie, she should have given Sam up. This time Marcie has no reason to give Starrlet up and John and the entire police department better back her up, if it ever comes to that point. I'm a huge TSJ fan girl, but Todd does not get to raise his rape victim's grandchild or have any say in his/her life. Not if Starr doesn't want him to.

I could see Michael objecting to the adoption out of fear and trepidation over what Todd might do to him, Marcie and the baby. That would definitely invite conflict into his and Marcie's marriage, with the possibility of Marcie leaving Michael in order to be the baby's adoptive mother. But you know what else I'd like to see? The possibility of Cole and Todd forming a most unlikely - and perhaps, unholy - alliance, in order to keep Michael and Marcie from getting the child. (Then, once she has regained her memory completely, and is aware that her son is conspiring with the man who raped her, Marty sides with the McBains, thus creating tension between mother and son.) But, Todd ends up double-crossing Cole, attempting to take the baby for himself; Cole feels betrayed and hurt, but so does Starr, and their relationship is officially over; and although Cole ultimately turns the baby over to Michael and Marcie (and Todd is either dead or in prison), Marty finds herself torn between her devotion to her hurt son and her friendship to her grandchild's new parents.

Word to all of that - and for the record, although I like TSJ, I do think Todd Manning has had his day.

After a week of missing the chance to watch entire episodes of OLTL (I would always catch the last 15 minutes), I finally watched an entire episode yesterday.

Yesterday's episode would have been more appropriate for Thursday or in the middle of the week, but sicne RC has spoiled us OLTL viewers cliffhangers I was a bit disappointedthat we didn't get any big cliffhangers for a Friday. Overall I enjoyed the episode, mostly the Marcie and Starr scene. Well acted and well scripted.

I agree, one girl did look like Erin Torpey. It freaked me out a bit.

With each passing day, I hate Starr more and more. Her rationale for being "angry" at Marcy during the custody battle was BS. Now you see why she (Marcie) had to run away with Sam? He's not her freakin baby! She lost in court and she ran off with a baby that wasn't hers. She kidnapped him. Oy vey.....

John-Cole and Langston-Marco were beyond boring. In fact, this was probably the dullest episode I've seen in weeks.

lol, that was my fave part of it.

from todd manning. a crazed psychopath who should never be allowed around kids. i mean... come on. look at recently. hanging teenagers on meathooks, throwing his daughter down the stairs, beating a teenage boy almost to death.

im not saying it was ok to kidnap the kid... but i can see how starr can now understand it. now that she sees the REAL todd.

She's know the real Todd for years, she's just mad that he's not doing what she wants. That's why i don't buy into her sudden change. If Todd was pro-Starr & Cole, she'd be all "Oh I love you so much dad." GMAFB. Starr likes the REAL Todd when it suits her.

Yeah, I kind if agree with this. I really don't like the way they've written Todd's part in this baby story. However, I have to take what the writers have given me and I think having Todd push Starr down a flight of stairs was a wake up call. It doesn't matter that he didn't do it on purpose. He felt comfortable enough grabbing his daughter and pushing her in a way that could have killed her and her baby. And even though Starr doesn't want to keep the baby, she clearly has enough maternal feeling to give birth to the child and see that it has a good home. It's really no wonder that she now sees Todd a little differently, who wouldn't?

I really think they should have explored Todd's guilt over Marty more when he kept saying Cole raped Starr because as it stands Todd just looks crazy as hell.

Starr knows how Todd is cause he constantly uses her as one of his weapons of choice against Blair whenever possible.
