June 18, 200817 yr Author Member Eileen Daidson said she'll be back and forth btween Y&R and B&B all summer long. Maybe it will eventually come out this summer. Or, they could always make her back and forth stint useless, like everything else on the show. I hope that's where Sheffer will intervene and do something valuable with it.
June 18, 200817 yr Member I can't wait for Sheffer's stuff to start airing. Any change is welcomed from this repetitiveness. How awful is this: I'll take any storyline Sheffer has to offer. Good, bad, ugly -- doesn't matter.

June 18, 200817 yr Member Yeah, same thing here. I just hope fan bases don't have an effect on him. I think he had a lifetime's worth of that at DAYS.
June 18, 200817 yr Member Still, I don't see what big impact Sheffer witll have at Y&R with Josh Griffith and Maria Arena Bell still there. Edited June 18, 200817 yr by Y&RWorldTurner
June 18, 200817 yr Author Member I might love the show, and I might be sticking with it even though it's boring, but if things don't pick up a few months after Sheffer comes, I'll start reading recaps. When primetime shows do filler episodes, they're usually just dragging the storylines to add another hour to the episode order without anything new happening. That's how the past 3-4 months have been. Filler every day.
June 18, 200817 yr Member Question is, does Y&R have any couples right now who inspire such fanatical loyalty amongst the audience? Heck, I think even some diehard Phick fans are wishing Phyllis and Nick would split up, lol. And Victor/Sabrina might be the first couple in Y&R (if not all soap) history to have a very vocal anti-fan base. Edited June 18, 200817 yr by Khan

That's how the past 3-4 months have been. Filler every day. Exactly. Now, I'm not saying Y&R has never had its'...slower periods before. Even Papa Bell, as brilliant as he was, could bore the audience on occasion. But even then, when nothing much was occuring, he still was laying track for huge story down the road. He was laying it slowly and methodically, yes, but he was laying story nonetheless.
June 18, 200817 yr Member And David & Sabrina! And Jeffrey! And Alistair (even if he is off-screen at the moment)!

June 18, 200817 yr Member At the risk of having posters tar and feather me... I still say that Judith Chapman is one of the finer actors on Y&R and at least Gloria's story has some impetus. As opposed to Lily and Devon describing to the audience the baby pictures they were looking at. Good lord that was Zzzzzzzzzz.
