OLTL: Discussion for the week June 9-13

Family relationships, parent/child, siblings, seems to be a common theme on OLTL lately. Almost every story has that element as a component of the story. But it's not like they throw up word art on the screen to announce "This is a story about Viki and her daughters" "This is a story about Dorian and her girls." "This is a story about ..." Primarily because it's not really a story about the family relationships, but Ron has elegantly and craftily woven that family dynamic into every story. I can't think of one that doesn't have it.

"Love in the Afternoon" or more accurately lack thereof has been a widespread complaint about OLTL but I've missed this family interaction more than anything (not to say I wouldn't like more loving), and I didn't even realize it until I started seeing it. Kudos to Carlivati.

Off to watch Jared mouth ILY to Natalie one more time before bed.

They do, don't they? (I'm watching the end-of-episode montage on SoapNet "as we speak". Take notes if you're watching, Ellen Wheeler. That's how it done.) Either they're longer, or they're more in-depth. Either way, OLTL, keep it up!

I loved watching Blair and Addie's conversation so much. Aside from the bits of foreshadowing (you just know we're heading for another Todd/Blair showdown, as well as the whole scary truth behind Blair's conception), it was just a nice, simple, quiet talk between mother and daughter that covered not just Starr's dilemma, but Blair's, Addie's, Viki's, Todd's and even Tina's. No beating-you-over-the-head plot advancement, just a little character development. Nice.

You've managed to describe it quite well, as I would have if I could have.

Sarah & Nash were really close, he was one of her friends, they worked together, he left behind a wife and a baby - i dont think shes crying too much at all.

I'm not incredibly impressed with this Sarah... But I'll wait to see if she can prove herself opposite Andrea Evans

The character is effed in the head, but I am going to give her the benefit of the doubt and chalk it up to the fact she's just desperate to take the spotlight of herself??

I CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you think we will see one at the beginning and the other at the end, or that they will return in back-to-back scenes at the end?
