At B&B...thankfully. The situation at ABC Daytime with Frons is just so horrible I don't think Agnes Nixon herself could save this show.

Tomlin and Pratt, I think, are better than Carruthers and B&E. It's just a nightmare all the way around.

I wouldn't be so sure it isn't true. I trust SOD's sources more than an AMC rep. The reps lie all the time. They said Colby was not being re-cast days before the re-cast was made official!

There has to be some truth to this. The Pratt mention is too random for SOD to just make it up.

These two choices are interesting because Tomlin has more history has an EP than writer IIRC. I would love to see AMC get a new EP so the fact that it's in consideration is great. A new writer won't matter with the same horrible EP.

It sounds like Carruthers would remain EP.

And another thought just struck me. We'd end up with the awful Chris Whitsell on staff as well because he and Tomlin go hand-in-hand.

I wonder what's SOD's motives are by printing this? If they had the scoop, why not print it as news? Why are they leaking this rumour out and not other rumours?

Okay now that I've read the actual item that Zendall Fan posted I'm not sure how to interpret it.

Does it sound like they have been approached about taking over together as co-hws, or that they have both individually been approached and Frons is just going through the his black book trying to find someone who will work with him?

Maybe SOD is reporting this just to get word out that a search is going on, but doubt it will end up being Tomlin and/or Pratt ? I don't know.......

This would be a new low for Frons. Surely Carlivati has vanted to him about Tomlin; can't he connect the dots and realize this would be a bad idea!? If Frons promised him a job after the strike then let him direct OLTL.

I doubt Agnes has anything to do with these two contenders. She probably knows Tomlin but wouldn't know Pratt from a hole in the ground (lucky her).

I think Frons gets joy out of making bad news for AMC fans. It's like just when we think things COULD NOT POSSIBLY GET WORSE we get WORSE news. I just don't understand.
