Ethan Erickson (who played Quint and Nola's son, "J" on GL a few years back) will fill in for Jason Thompson as Dr. Patrick Drake for four episodes beginning April 23rd. Jason returns to the role on May 2nd. The reason for this was not given.

Are these characters soooo damn important that they can't miss a few episodes??? They did it with Alexis, Lorenzo, Jax and now Patrick. The storylines won't suffer if they're off for a couple of days.

^They usually do it when an actor has to leave right away and they are set to rec episodes they are already in.

I read somewhere that its because Patrick was supposed to be in scenes with Anna and FH has a diffcult schelue.
