Okay, you & another poster have both said things about JFP that make me perk up because I keep files on certain PTBs and JFP is definitely one of them. In what way do you mean that those stories were hers? As opposed to being the HW's stories, etc. Did she fire any actors? Did she kill any actors off? Did she do something to get rid of Nic Coster? Was it intentional that Pearl was not at the wedding? Did she redo the show opening? Did she redo show sets? Was she involved in the negotiations where Robin Wright left to go do THE PRINCESS BRIDE? As to what an EP does, don't worry about it. Lots of clues. There are great ones & not so great ones. Thanks for any impressions you have of her time at the show!

Honestly, back in the day, I wasn't here for her reign. I stopped watching the show because I didn't like the 1988 storylines. I was a huge fan of 1984-1988, and didn't care for Pamela, the retcon of CC and Sophia, new Kelly, the rape story, the extreme drama, Sonny's existence, the lack of comedy and the lack of Lionel. I made it through the year this time, but still prefer the early days. Yes, I attribute this to the EP because she was at the top. If it wasn't her, then my apologies

Sure, you can always go with the buck stops here. That is not only a very old adage but it almost always has truth packed into it.

Edit: Marissa, because of what you've said, I can't really tell if you're interested in more information should it become available, or even what else you might already know about, but what the hey, nothing to be lost here.

So, Nic Coster had been gone for almost 3 years. While he was gone there were attempts made at settling issues. Those issues were about storylines. At about the 2½ yr point, they thought they'd got somewhere. However, when they went to actually do work again, oops, there was still a problem or problems. They hammered out more issues or the same issues. Just as they reached their point finally, it was - wouldn't you just know it - right as Louise Sorel was finished up & leaving. They paired Lionel with Gina. End of anecdotal information.

I think I know the channel you're talking about. It has a photo of Keith and Gina, right?

The problem is that the last episode in English was 1244 and it was uploaded on May 22, 2021. And that person never continued the series from that episode. So, do you know where I can watch from episode 1245 to the end. Thanks.

They find her in May I think, so not 9.months.

So I actually did recently watch this- I personally found it an awful story and it made zero sense. Like zero.

First of all - they apparently find a deceased baby, assume it's Adriana and bury it? Like with no tests? Just welp that must be our kid!

And then they find out Adriana is alive but no one is like hey- who did we bury?

And then Sandra is just gross and awful.

And then somehow it was Zach who kidnapped her, then Kirk, then she ends up with Cruz's brother?

Like if I tried really hard, and maybe had written down the convoluted plot points, maybe I could have followed it but I thought it was all terrible.

Then Kirk pretending he is Japanese or Buddhist or something I can't remember the details now. I watched the scene with Kirk and all I could think was maybe I should have tried watching it really high.

Ah cremated! OK. It was really hard for me to take this story in lol. I admit it.

Still I was appalled no one cared about who that kid was. Cruz was really a terrible cop lol. If he couldn't act out a crime like a play he couldn't figure out whodunit.

    • I hope for a multi-year renewal, too! This is the only show I've been excited to see the next episode in forever. Considering their demos are quite decent. the initial episodes showed there is still an interest in daytime, and it has helped to boost the rest of the soap line up at times, it should be around for a while.

    • I agree.  How many times did we have to watch Bobby vs. J.R., or Blake vs. Alexis, knowing that nothing would change at the end, and that everything would go back to status quo, so that they could fight the same, exhausting battles all over again?  If nothing else, I give FC and KL credit for trying to keep things fresh, even if I think FC, in particular, went too far in the other direction and became unrecognizable even to the most diehard fans. Exactly.  Plus, because viewers were so burned out by the kind of serialized storytelling that was beginning to affect even half-hour comedies, I think MSW represented a nice change of pace.  You didn't have to watch every week, or watch from the beginning of each season, to know what was going on with Miss Fletcher.  Instead, you could watch a complete story in one episode, de-stress from whatever had happened in your own life last week, gear yourself up for the week ahead, and be okay. If you notice, though, there were differences between those two shows and what Aaron Spelling had produced in the past.  For one thing, there was a greater emphasis on youth; and while characters on 90210 and MP certainly had more disposable incomes than the average viewer, their wealth wasn't as opulent as what we'd seen on DYNASTY or on "Hart to Hart."  Even the battles among Alison, Amanda, Billy and others at that advertising agency weren't as histrionic as those between Denver Carrington and ColbyCo.
    • I saw a conversation yesterday with Liam with the 7 dwarves hat and Steffy -  I know she did not say re: Hope and Liam said - well look at Finn and you forgave him right?      I know I did not hear Steffy say “well but you can’t compare that to…”  For *uck sake someone call the bitch out!?     You’re right, we shouldn’t compare your forgiveness for the dude with devil spawn seed whose daughter locked you in a cage along with crazy stepmom/mom/Grandmother who has also SHOT YOU BOTH - and multiple murder attempts but you have to exist with them / Hope’s part in a takeover which you know was FAR LESS THAN CARTER BECAUSE HOPE IS NOT AN ATTORNEY…. Goodness no, no the same thing at alllllllll.   When they do Steffy’s absence at least let it be because they all find out what a manipulative ho she is in her own right.
    • I think a lot of us still agree with that. I do hope that the resurgence in the soap world with Beyond the Gates will push ABC to either bring back these shows or produce a newer one.
    • So, this was fun. Elsewhere, friendly to polls, a poll on what do you want to see at the Nurses Ball. The Gio reveal got 18%, for Blaze to return & sing also got 18%, for Jennifer Hudson to do a cameo & sing got 10% and for Lucy to lose various parts of clothing got 9% but the huge one was the reveal of Drew/Nina sex which got a whopping 45%!
    •   I liked the effect of the curtains closing. Yeah it was like the end of Act I.   Or maybe they are simply trying to emphasize the drama of the end of an episode -- instead of a random abrupt end that has happened in some prior episodes.
    • I posted this in the behind the scenes thread but I know this thread is busier so wanted to mention it here as well. During their instagram live yesterday, Daphnee Duplaix and Trisha Mann-Grant mentioned that they will find out this month if the show is renewed for another season. Just a heads up so we can keep an eye out for an announcement and keep our fingers crossed for a multi-year renewal!
    • They haven't explained the ownership of the Bistro, but Doug told Holly the other day he didn't get the job there. Basically Roman just hired Doug on the spot and gave him a room.  It was really nice of Roman.  I don't know if he knows who Doug is or that he stole Julie's necklace.  That was unclear-at least to me. ETA-I feel like the Bistro might just die and people will just pretend to order food there like Leo did today.  Sophia is on bed rest so no one works there anymore.  They can use that set for something else.
    • I'm not sure how I felt about it, but I do kind of like that it felt like the show telling us this concludes the first chapter of the series. Could be interesting if they only do it for big aftermath episodes. The biggest mistake with Martin is that it's almost hard to buy his anger because we've gotten no strong scenes with him and his parents. They've all been with Anita/Vernon. I can't even remember him ever even saying one word to Nicole, even in passing.
