February 26, 200817 yr Member I found this link (courtesy of a post on GLBuzz) that is already posted on youtube.com Here's the link...This particular clip looks GREAT. Love to hear what everyone else thinks. Enjoy. Reva/Cassie argue it out
February 26, 200817 yr Member It looked really good! This is what GL needs more of, confrontation. The new format made it feel so real too.
February 26, 200817 yr Member Nice! The new format looks decent and it should improve over time as they get the camera work and everything else stabilized...
February 26, 200817 yr Member LMAO, I'm sorry, but leave it to Zimmer to make "control" and three syllable word: "Con-tro-well" Anyway, I'll be interested to see the whole show in this format. Right now, not to take away from it, but it just seems like a regular scene shot on location before they cut to an indoor studio scene. I think I might get a different vibe once I see it all the way through in this format.
February 26, 200817 yr Member I saw a clip today of Dinah and Billy talking and the cameras were HORRIBLE! What's going on? The camera setting was just so weird.
February 26, 200817 yr Member Cassie is competing with tree branches for screen time. It's NOT WORKING.
February 26, 200817 yr Member I'm not sure about this new format... I desperately want to send them a tripod whenever I see that shaky crap. It's one thing to try to be "in the moment" like some of the primetime shows, but GL's cameramen seem like they're drunk. And zoom OUT and STAY out! All that Zoom In, Zoom Out mess is very distracting!!
February 27, 200817 yr Member Thing is sometimes they do a pretty good job so I don't understand why other times the camera's shaking all over the place. This scene seems fine to me (minus the branch shots which admittedly are like something out of a slasher film) and the stuff with Rick and Frank catching Harley in the car the other day was perfectly stable.
February 27, 200817 yr Member Cassie is competing with tree branches for screen time. It's NOT WORKING. LOL. The camera placements make no sense. I mean, is someone watching them in the woods? I'm not expecting Spielbergian camera work. But can't they just set up a tripod and do the simple shot/countershot set-ups? Or even just static medium shots would be more effective. Damn it, just watch Coronation Street to see how it should be done, P&G. Less is more.
February 27, 200817 yr Member i am not sure why the naysayers are against it. it is a great scene. Good dialouge and mostly good camera work. They do need to slow down on the "trying to be creative with peeking around branches and etc" But that scene came out great, was real...felt real...compared to a set with wobbly walls and total fakeness. Good job GL !
February 28, 200817 yr Member I think they are trying to make it feel like you are there, spying on them, by showing the camara from behind the bracnh's... but i dont like it. its odd, and kinda creepy. The scene is good, and i am excited for the full on change. My only two issues are the camara from behind tress and grass and stuff, and the zoom in/outin/out/in/out.. it drives me crazy. but hopefuly with time they will get better. trial and error.
