It seems gratuitous to me. A brother never mentioned by Tad, Opal, Jenny or anyone suddenly appears and is behind the Jesse Hubbard plot, particularly since he never met Jesse? Feels like they think they could hire anyone, name them "Gardner" and plug them into any vet's story.

So it would have been better if they just made up a character with zero connetions?

I think this makes the 'Jesse Returns' story much more intriguing.

And how do we know he's never met Jesse? He was gone for 20 years.

Very interesting develop in Jesse's storyline. I love this angle and do not care if Rob was ever mentioned or not. I too hope Ruth gets more airtime. I think with more emphasis on the Martins that AMC should up Lee Meriwether(Ruth) to contract and should bring back a couple more Martins, Jamie, Jake and/ or Tara, Kelsey.

Oooh, great twist! I can't wait to see how this plays out and I hope the Martins are actively involved.

I wish we could get her back full time. Imagine what she'd do with the Ryan, Kendall, Greenlee, Zack, Aidan crapfest. Too bad Julia Barr is no longer around. I think she and Rasche would have terrific chemistry.
