Okay this sounds interesting. Jesse's time away be not be as predictable as we thought.

I don't know if I can post the whole thing but if you go the official ABC website for AMC it says that David Rasche has been cast as Rob Gardner, Tad's uncle, and that Rob will be involved in the mystery surrounding Jesse's absence.

This could be good.

Pine Valley's New Bad Boy

davidrascheedit2ba3.jpg

Watch out Pine Valley: A new villain is coming to town! Veteran actor David Rasche joins the cast of All My Children on Friday, February 29 as Tad Martin's uncle, Rob Gardner. Those familiar with AMC history will recognize the infamous last name. Rob's brother, Ray Gardner, was Tad's biological father and evil to the core. Before Ray died, his many sins included abandoning Tad at age eight, raping Ruth Martin (Tad's adoptive mother) and trying to blow up the Martin family home!

Rob continues the family tradition. Look for him to be intimately connected with the mystery surrounding Jesse's "death" twenty years ago.

David Rasche's career spans film, television and the stage. He is perhaps best known for the title role in the cult 80s TV show, Sledge Hammer. Movie credits include The Sentinel, Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, United 93, An Unmarried Woman and Flags of our Fathers. Rasche was a member of Chicago's famous Second City improvisation troupe. This is not the actor's first foray into daytime. In 1981, he played the role of Wes Leonard on the ABC Daytime drama Ryan's Hope.

REALLY good news!

AMC still isn't that great (for the most part), but it does seem they're at least making some effort to improve it.

Now, if only we could get rid of the Fusion silliness, the Zendall/Babe & JR repetiveness, and Ryan! :(

Anyway....

I hope this means we'll see Ruth more and the Martin house. When was the last time that set was shown....... 2003????

I'm with Skin: I don't know what to think about this. It's certainly the first I've heard of Ray having a biological father.

ETA: Did I say "father"? I meant "brother". Whoops, lol.
