Brian, I don't even see the remote similarities between the two pictures. In the first picture you see one pic of Obama, repeated in, and I say again, his home town. Chicago's own. Read the banner. If no one else at all liked him, his home town would hold him down so taking a picture from Chicago, I think, is a little unfair. In the Second Picture, you are looking at a Saudi memorial. That leaders picture is above it, yes, but the rest of those pictures are of different people. You are a sore loser. Toughen up champ. Or move. ;)

Aww, Jay... I'm not a sore loser. I told you before, McCain was hardly my first choice. I'm truly concerned for the country under an Obama presidency. Opposition to and/or dislike of Obama should be tolerated and, in what used to America, welcomed. The country tolerated very well accusations that George W. Bush and company were war criminals, murderers, torture chamber dungeonmasters, etc. Surely the country can tolerate charges leveled at The One in the same American political spirit. Makes me wonder, though, when you let pass comments by friends of yours, like Mulder, in which someone who disagrees is called a racist communist...

My response wasn't in reference to the photos or the "joke" you posted so let's be clear about that upfront.

All I'm doing is acknowledging that of the millions of people that are happy about Obama, there are some that are over the top. Of the millions of people that dislke Obama some are over the top and quite irrational to the point of threatening to kill others or even attempting to do it.

I don't condone hatred period but I don't see how you can reference George W. Bush in this instance when he lied to the country and allies in order to justify his "war." Palin was spouting a lot of divisive rhetoric but I don't think there is anything resembling the feeling that some might have for Bush in her case. There were people, who understandably, didn't want to see her as VP, and the media treated her like they do most celebrities except since she was seeking higher office, they zeroed in on some of her "aireheaded" responses.

The fact that you direct a lot of hatred towards Obama is disturbing. I can understand you disagreeing with his politics and not wanting him to be President or in any political office period based on your ideology but you're not directing your venom towards his practices, you're directing it towards him and other people who support him. How does that make you any better than the people ablout which you're complaining when you're going over the top in the other direction?

I have not directed any hatred toward Obama, Wales. I'm simply offering statements... I've stated before that I'm sure he is a pleasant, well-intentioned man. Unfortunately, he is a pleasant, well-intentioned man who leans extremely left and, in the two years he campaigned for the office, was hardly if ever questioned by the media about his extremely liberal policy positions, his connections to questionable characters, and his past in general.

That, my friend, is disturbing to me. Speculating publicly in this forum is hardly going over the top. I suspect you would find any hint of disagreement in the sea of Obamalove posted here "over the top". I simply want answers to questions nobody seems to want to ask, research, or learn about.

Oh, and speaking of Obama -- "The Messiah" -- I would like to share with everyone my new favorite poster of Obama, courtesy of the Washington Times...

And again, I am reminded of moments in time... glimpses into history...

Ok.

Comparing him to Chairman Mao.

This just gets funnier every time I see this.

First he was "The One". Then he was Hitler. Then he was Stalin, now he's Mao.

When is he going to have time to be President?

He must be doing something right if this is the only garbage people can come up with.

Excellent questions, Wales.

Over the top hatred? Perhaps George W. Bush or Sarah Palin could better speak about that.

As for Dr. Jay's response to the very obvious comparison made by those photos... Wales acknowledges the over the top adoration -- Dr. Jay makes an excuse for it.

I simply find it over the top frightening. If anyone is bothered by over the top comparisons of Obama to over the top dictators and other assorted socialists, then perhaps the Obamaphiles should tone down their over the top adoration just a notch and avoid treading on obsessive Hitler-esque interpretations and over the top representations of their freakish Obamalove.

Obama is a state senator who hasn't completed a single term in the Senate. He's just a guy, not the Messiah. He's a leftist, borderline socialist.

1. Who is this thread has called him The Messiah? That seems to be the same crap you keep coming up with because you apparently can't stand the fact the man actually ran a good campaign, connected with voters and won (Which is something HRC and JM could not do).

2. To talk about freakish Obama love with some of the horrible things you have posted would actually make soemone ask you, Brain.......where is your hatred for this man and his family coming from? What has their policies or even OW done to you to make you hate them so much?

3. Who sent you that "little gem"? You post it but don't tell us where it came from?

Before you continue to attack those supporters of Obama in this forum, I ask that you consider some of the things you have said. You want people to hear you out, then maybe stopping with calling him a comunist and Hitler without any proof other than your own personal hatred might go a long way.

I find the "borderline socialists" and terrorists references funny. I guess there are those who believe everything they are told because it's easier than recognizing that a good man was elected president and that the country is excited about it.

I guess it is fair to ask why only African-Americans were included in the joke.

Sore loser -- very much.

An honest question: Why has the word left or liberal become such a dirty word? You think that after 8-16 years of conservatism the word "conservative" would be dirty and not vice versa after seeing where it has lead us to.

Yo Brian. Ties to terrorist. GWB has ties to terrorist. His family and the Bin Ladens have been down for over a decade. Obama served on a board with Bill Ayers. The woman who hired them both, a member of Mccains team. Khalidi? The guy Mccain donated more money to than Obama? You are a sore loser. Support your president or be out. lol The difference between those murals of Obama and Mao. Obama's murals were made by Obama supporters, Mao's were made by Mao.

Actually, I never compared Obama to Hitler, Mao, Stalin, or anyone else. I have very clearly and very plainly been speaking about the Obamalove that has gripped the world. Mischaracterizing my intent and twisting my words doesn't change the fact that the idoltry induced by Obama is obviously reminiscent of the sort of idoltry history does not remember very kindly.

Sorry if my view (and the view of many, many others) interferes with the peace and love sit-in taking place here in the forums.

And I agree... it would be absolutely hilarious -- if it all wasn't so damn scary.

Well, I would have hesitated posting the joke here is that had mentioned Reverend Wright. That would have crossed the line, I'm sure...

Well, I would guess the reason only black people were included is because Barack's wife IS black and bringing in, say, Dolly Parton or someone else would have been odd. Oprah is clearly Barack's biggest and richest supporter, so I would assume she would have a seat on his private jet. Hmmm...

Well, Jess, you're right. No white folks were on the plane. Now, if *I* had written it... *I* would have added a fourth seat for diversity's sake and included Mr. Bill "I don't regret a thing" Ayers. :D

You know, I just think that your not used to a leader being actually- you know...liked, after GWB for all of these years. Sure the Dictators had murals made about them but everyone knows that those people didnt really like them. Its not like Obama is holding a gun to anyones head or threatening their wifes. It's not the same thing dude. You can't convince anyone it is.

Then your beef should be with the media for failing to meet your standards of questioning him. The "joke" you posted implies that 56 million people would be happy if he, his wife and Oprah were pushed to their death from a plane. I guess it's hard to imagine how anyone might take that the wrong way or read anything remotely sinister into it either.

It's acrtually laughable that there's this whole line of thinking that Obama is going to be able to single handedly turn this country into a dictatorship because the rest of the government is going to stand idly by and watch it all happen. I guess you haven't gotten around to posting pictures of Obama and the devil yet.

Which questionable characters are you concerned about? Jeremiah Wright, William Ayers, Tony Rezko, Khalidi, or did the GOP find someone they forgot to mention?

That, my friend, is disturbing to me. Speculating publicly in this forum is hardly going over the top. I suspect you would find any hint of disagreement in the sea of Obamalove posted here "over the top". I simply want answers to questions nobody seems to want to ask, research, or learn about.

If you were merely speculating about what Obama might do in office then I wouldn't find it disturbing. The "joke" and the pictures add up to that. If it makes you better to say that I think anyone who doesn't like Obama or says anything contrary is over the top.....knock yourself out. Obviously, you know I worship the ground he walks on and finds everything he does to be the definition of perfection. In fact, posting in thread takes away from my time paying homage to him. If nothing else, you do make me laugh.

I've mentioned that many times, Wales. Please read my posts more carefully.

And I'm glad I make you laugh. As I said... the state of the country under the Obama regime would be funny if it was a movie. I'm actually frightened and concerned about it.

Obama hasn't taken office yet so you understand that I'm finding the hysteria funny. If you were making this complaint after he'd been in office several months then I'd say at least you gave him a teeny chance. But saying he's done this and that to the country when he hasn't is totally ridiculous.

You can deny it all you want but you've got some pretty intense feelings toward someone who basically followed his dreams. I don't think he's outside telling people to fall at his feet and follow him and the majority of the people who supported him are not worshipping him either. Yes, it's amazing that he overcame great odds to be elected President. A lot of people find that awesome. Then there are the people who have been eaten up inside because of it and need to see him fail or even worse. I'd rather look at the better side of things than speculating on the negative possibilities.
