A bit of a scoop:

Thom Racina said on In The Zone that he's friends with Anthony Morina and Sally Sussman Morina. He said he had dinner with them one night, and Anthony told him Y&R was looking for new writers, to "change things up."

So, this seems like the beginning of Y&R getting and firing writers...

He also said Y&R was in a bit of a crunch, so he had to write two scripts last week. So, I guess Y&R is losing some scriptwriters/breakdown writers.

Can't wait for Toups' scoops tomorrow. ;)

He also said Y&R's gonna be sensational in August and the fall. He said he thinks the fans will be happy. We'll have to wait and see...

He also said the scripts are getting longer and there's so much story. I guess we can finally expect longer scenes on Y&R soon, something I've wanted for a while.

He mentioned something about Hogan writing some sort of story last week and then Scott Hamner (yuck!) adding his notes and then he had to produce a script. He said there was so much story to tell and the scripts got longer than he expected them to be.

That sounds interesting, but I hope Scott Hamner is fired soon. He mentioned Hamner does some sort of coordination between the script writers.

Hopefully he is one of the 7 Toups will be announcing tomorrow :D

I so desperately want to get back into Y&R.... and more and more stuff is coming out of the woodwork to incline myself to do so.

Scott Hamner has been a failure on just about every show he's written. Knots Landing, Port Charles, Y&R, etc. He is LML's right hand man. I personally enjoy his season of Knots Landing, but it's probably the second most hated among fans. Then on Port Charles he took over after LML was fired and apparently was just a total mess. Based on his history he didn't even deserve to be hired, IMO.
