Man, Greens was cra-ZAY-ZAY back in the dress ripping days, but wow, did Budig sell it. Even though I have some admiration for Sabine Singh's acting, no way could she pull off that level of balls out bitchery.

Ah...the Angie and Jesse eps were so fun. Daisy, Jenny, Amanda, Liza, Enid, Liza, Langley, Phoebe, Dottie, Edna, Hilary, Skye, Tom, Matt, Robin, Travis, Ellen, Devon...wow. AMC had so many good characters back in the day.

The advertisement for Greenlee's return is possibly one of the most atrocious things I have ever seen TIIC do in the television industry...

Not that I am a huge Rebecca Budig fan (but she is entertaining), but now I am totally sour to her return.

The return of "Real" Greenlee even put a damper on my plans to tune back in to see Jesse and Angie also.

The real Greenlee is the character written in character. Matters not who the actress is. By the time RB left, Greenlee was nothing to watch, especilly with that, "I have to have Woodchuck's baby" nonsense. What was done to Greenlee is possibly one of the worst things you can do to a female character.

The complete and utter disrespect for SS was not necessary, and if the writing is not better, it does not matter which character you bring back. AMC will eventually take Trassions place on Direct Tv. See how long they last.

Phoebe and Langley were so fierce! I only know the Langley actor from Dark Shadows, so that was a treat! I now see why AMC fans loved Phoebe so much. Who was that busybody annoying them?

LOVE LOVE LOVED Debbi Morgan when her father died. You just don't see that ugly, completely devestated type of grieving unless it's done in a campy way. She totally broke my heart. It reminded me of various family members during my grandpa's funeral. I cannot wait to see her sink her teeth into some meaty material.

Honestly, the biggest shock to me was how bloody GOOD the show was then! I've always assumed AMC just wasn't for me, but I now see it's just this modern AMC that isn't for me. Honestly, say PSNS was 30 years old and someone told you for many years it was Agnes Nixon levels of great...would it be possible to believe that knowing how bad the show is now? That's how I am with AMC now.

I just wish ABC would finally give OLTL a marathon of classic episodes. To date they STILL haven't had one! Y&R hasn't had one with real classic episodes either.

Wow, I never realized that they didn't do that before. OLTL, like all soaps, has a rich history with its own golden era, and it's a shame that soapnet doesn't recognize that. As to Y&R, I don't know if soapnet has access or rights to classic episodes, since it isn't ABC, so that doesn't surprise me that they've never done a marathon. Has soapnet ever done a classic marathon for Days?

Unfortunately, I couldn't watch the Angie/Jesse marathon since I had other things going on, but now I'm pretty disappointed that I missed it. Obviously it was much better than the Greenlee marathon.

DAYS has done well with marathons. Marlena's Posession, during the olympics they had two or three weeks full of classic episodes, then Sami's for Mother's Day and then Bo and Hope got a six episode marathon. Since DAYS and Y&R are both owned by Sony, I think they could do a Y&R marathon if they wanted. They showed some episodes from 2004/2005 with their Jump into Genoa City marathon.

But OLTL? It's a fricking ABC soap and the only marathon they had was From Jess To Tess, showing episodes from the previous year. It would've been a great chance to showcase Viki's alters, but they obviously don't care about OLTL.

They can keep on not caring about OLTL because them focusing more on AMC and GH and leaving OLTL alone has given us great soap opera!

    • It's so jarring seeing the changeover from Sherry Mathis to Louan Gideon.  The vibe, mannerisms, and overall personality of Liza changes instantly. The chemistry Sherry has with both David F and Joe Lambie is gone the second the recast happens.  I wonder how viewers took the news of the recast since you didn't have time in between airings before the change happened. Quinn/Sarah... One overacts (Quinn) and one under acts (Sarah). Wendy of 1985 is a good mix of the 1982 sweet Wendy and the 1983/84 vixenish Wendy.
    • Oups!! I guess when i was doing the editing, i left a part of 3169, too (RTL Lounge airs 2 episodes per day back to back). Sorry about that ! Tonight i ll try to record 3171-3172. If i m not mistaken 3172 is missing from YouTube.

    • I would put Felicia in the 'small dose' auntie category because she means well, but comes on too strongly at times.  In small doses, she would be a blast to hang out with.. but in anything larger than a small... she would be exhausting. I tend to prefer lower key people than people that are always 'on' all the time.  Those people can veer off into energy vampire status pretty quickly.
    • I didn't like the Harry story, but Nazar did have a great introduction. He was probably the highlight of last year.  Now that you mention it, I guess the truly dire stories (Nicole, Harper/Drew/Phil, Nicole) didn't start until summer.
    • thank you all for contributing to the Vault. I am slowly getting towards watching the 1998 episodes

    • I pray⏤and I know it's a big prayer⏤that Noel Maxam is somehow able to figure things out budget-wise so we can stop re-dressing existing sets as "new" sets. I know in apartment buildings apartments can generally look the same, but I'm over it on this soap. The last time he was executive producer was in 2011 when the original Horton Town Square was introduced, and we had some other sets get introduced around this time (likely pre-commissioned prior to his election), but I'm trying to have some hope he can pull this off. Let's [finally] see it.
    • Definitely not the best of RC's breakdowns. I don't know what it says that I could pick up his trademarks yesterday 30 minutes in without even knowing that he did one. There was something more...quirky/boardstroked...about Dani. Though I love the Dani/Nicole scenes, she was just a little too hip?...which made me think back to the episode when she broke into Bill/Hayley's house. Then watching the episode later on, I saw Hayley was being used as a punchline to the more interesting and relevant Bill/Ted scenes (see you all were just talking about how you hoped they got scenes...one thing this show is great at...what people want on this board...they already have the foresight for it. The reason I feel the DNA test will get mentioned @Cheap21 in more detail). And then poor Anita reduced for the most part propping up an album.    Needless to say, not my favorite RC episode. And since we are in aftermath week, I just smh. And barely worth a rewatch. BUT...was there good for me?    Yes. Thankfully, we still got good aftermath beats regardless of the breakdown.   Like I said, I really like the Dani/Nicole scenes. But I love their dynamic. And I was looking forward to the shoe being on the other foot once the SilkPress storyline hit climax. Quirks aside, it did not disappoint. Dani came in, and she came in fierce for her sister. I loved her attacking Eva. And then her being surprisingly introspective about Nicole due to her own experience. No wonder Nicole reacted to her being self-aware. So did I.    Meanwhile Bill and Ted finally met up. I'm kinda sad that we did not get that sooner given the scenes that played out sidepiece in the background aside. It might have been interesting to see more of their status as non-Duprees coming into the family explored.    And of course I can't leave without mentioning Eva vs SilkPress Sheila which was the highlight. Both of them were giving. And SilkPress was just so cold with it. I did love that Eva finally stopped letting her gaslight her. Sad to see the duo break up. But I did love that she went to Ted. So...the next turn begins.   And speaking of turns...uh oh at Kat and Tomas. I'm sure he won't be staying away from her. So most definitely, Kat vs Eva ain't over. It will be interesting to see how it goes now that most people know that Kat was right all along.
    • Nah I enjoyed it much more last year because of the Harry plot that ended during that time. Nazar being introduced and them. But this time it is so lame and nothing I like forward to anymore and I’m one of them long time fans. Of course I would be upset if they would cancel it but maybe take a year off or two and return refreshed
