I forgot to add that I loved the erica/josh bonding scenes today,I'm surprised the writers remembered they are related and usually when they are in scenes together it doesn't last long. I hope this scene indicates more josh/erica bonding moments because thats actually a storyline I could look forward to. An I FF anything to do with greenme and zach, I like zach but I can't take greenme's whining. The Laverys/montgomerys are FF every week, I like lily but I can only tolerate her when shes with the slater/kane family. An I definantly won't be watching when kendall and mumbles bump uglies if thats still a go.

I also think its pretty sad and pathetic what they are doing with Erica having her obsess over Jack and grovel for his love and attention when he clearly does not want her anymore. He pretty much spits on her everytime they interact and she goes back crawling for more as if the little attention no matter how negative it is keeps her going on. It doesnt help that people like Josh are encouraging her to fight but I wish she'd swallow her pride, take what little self respect and dignity she has left and move on. She's Erica Kane. Men chase after her, NOT the other way around. She is a diva and she needs to start acting like one instead of being so needy. The writing for Erica is absolutely horrendous

ITA. But knowing erica she won't get it through her head that jack doesn't want her until she see's jack actually moving on. In defense of josh though erica didn't tell him the whole story about jack telling her he didn't love her anymore, I don't know if he would of been encouraging erica to go after jack if he knew that part of it. It pissed me off that Jack didn't call erica about lily, erica actually cares for lily.I'm ready for her new man 2008, I'm so sick of jack let kungfu julia have him.lol

He's probably just looking for another excuse to kiss her.

I find it hard to believe Richie is sane. He's trying to kill people left and right including himself, which is usually enough to get people sent to the funny farm, so I think comparing Joe and Erica's actions a stretch. It was pretty obvious that Greenlee had no intentions of hurting anyone. The only evil plan she had to come after Kendull's brats were in Kendall's head. In fact, Kendall was the one acting nuts for awhile there.

I still can't follow Proteus but it doesn't help that Iwas in europe for a big chunk of that neverending story... While eras of AMC may have been worse (much fo Passanante's era when she became full writer and not co headwriter with Nixon, McT's 99 era, Rayfield etc) the Proteus story is prob my least fave STORY too just cuz it was sooo endless and confused. It did give us some great moments (mainly with Vanessa) though.

I think Joe was being Joe but I did find it hypocritical and bizarre how easily he moved Richie to the psych ward especially as he didnt' seem tlo believe Ryan before... And why is Janet in the PVH psych ward now? (tho I was glad to see her and admit I am at least kind alooking forward ot her and Richie) Juliajms I kidna agree except what proof does Joe have to lock him up? Just RYan's wide eyed ravings

Cheap I disagree--having recently watched a few eps from 1979 when Tom found out Erica lied about the birth control pills I think the way Erica is behaving now with Jack is SPOT on to history.

I don't know what Richie was like before Annie lied and got him sent to prison for something he did not do. If he's anything like Greenlee who whines about being framed for a crime she actually committed, then yeah, he's probably nutso. She sets the standard, after all.

Who cares that GreenMee didn't intend to harm Spike or Ian (As if she didn't know kidnapping IS harmful to children and families). She did harm them. 2 babies almost died because of her selfishness actions and she still doesn't get it. She couldn't and still can't see beyond what she wants. If that isn't crazy, then I don't know what is.

What sane person sues for custody of a baby that is not theirs? What sane person decides to take a baby because they want someone else's child? What sane person repeatedly sneaks around to see the baby they stole after being told by the family to stay away? What sane person lies to the police to avoid charges rather than face the music? Comparing Joe and Erica is spot on. Even further, was it not Joe who had Adam committed against his will months ago to get revenge? Aidan helepd too, if I recall. So what's with their self-righteous and hypocritical grandstanding?

Last time I checked, kidnapping was not only a potential reason to go to the funny farm, it's a damned good reason to go to prison. Pity that fairweather Jackson was not the one to realize that his daughter needed/needs serious mental help while condemning others for actions he too engages in or expecting more of others than he is willing to give.

ICAM! My senitments exactly! Jack KNEW Greenlee kidnapped Spike and instead of getting her to come forward with the truth, he chose to pretend that she didn't mean to or some crap. I understand wanting to support your child, but my mother taught me that right is right and wrong is wrong-- and furthermore, if I broke the law, not only should I come clean about my actions, but she'd turn me in if I didn't. Greenlee is sooo busy whining about how they did her, she forgets that she could've had Spike as her child had she not walk away from him before he was born.

    • Oh, I see! You posted this on the general retro soap thread because of the voiceover.
    • Yeah, I agree. It's part of the reason I have shade picked on Martin's Secret being so on the backburner that it was about to fall off of it. With Dani/Bill/Hayley being the main tale to start us off and backburned and the SilkPress storyline being well paced, but not set to explode until May, Martin's Secret was the other main storyline that could have been developed. And after giving it a nice slow burn to start off, the story upped and vanished in Month 2. That left the show having to rely on mostly B/C stories to stay afloat to various degrees of success.
    • I loved those scenes, lol. I thought I was watching a stage play. But I do hear what you're saying.
    • Jason47's episode summaries clarify everything. https://daytimeroyaltyonline.com/days-daily-summaries-1990-1999-t14806-s150.html The construction company is "AJ Construction" (AJ = Adrienne+Justin).   Jencon Oil was building an oil refinery at the construction site.  This was adjacent to the park. Kirk Geiger played the character Chad Webster. The character Chad was an actor in the movie being made.   The child friend with Shawn-Douglas is his cousin Andrew Donovan. A few episodes prior, Andrew and Shawn-Douglas were at the park playing hide-and-seek. They wandered off where they shouldn't have gone, by slipping through the gate onto the construction site.  Shawn-D fell into the hole at the oil refinery. There were several episodes of trying to rescue Shawn-D.  Finally Carly rescued Shawn-D, but he was discovered to be deaf.  Andrew felt bad, but Bo and Shane both understood that it was an accident.  Carly later taught Shawn-D sign language. Shawn-D was played by Scott Groff. Andrew was played by Bradley Michael Pierce. pics here: https://web.archive.org/web/20070404163013/http://www.childrenofsalem.com/days/kids/shawnandrew/shawnandrew.html Larger context here: https://web.archive.org/web/20080614054207/http://www.bethsdayspage.com/days/riverfrontraider.htmlhttps://web.archive.org/web/20080614054207/http://www.bethsdayspage.com/days/riverfrontraider.html
    • I had a situation last week where I could watch the new episode on Paramount Plus on my laptop, but it wasn't even listed on my TV as an option.

    • I'm trying to think whether AW had anything remotely resembling that once Steve was killed off and Alice left a widow. So many young love stories were wrapped up either by marrying and leaving town or marrying and killing off one party. Maybe they acted in the final year as if Vicky and Jake had been that couple all along, but they both had better other mates along the way and also Jake was actively hostile to Vicky at too many points without any subtext of caring about her.
