Very interesting! The woman seems smart as hell, always an interesting and valuable quality in an actor!

She's also unbelievably adept at seeing what's both right AND wrong on all sides of the coin: in writing, in production, in acting and even in fandom. She knows exactly what she says will always be taken out of context by somebody in any one of those camps, and knows exactly what to say to eloquently explain herself, and quell any rumors or contradictions before anyone has a chance to retort.

She's a class act, and an extremely thoughtful, considerate, and truly artistic soul: on her blogs, in her interviews, and on camera.

What both AMC and ATWT have done to her as an artist in the last two years is completely ridiculous. Can she be fickle? Sure. Find me one actor who isn't at one time or another. But she "gets it". It's a shame her employers don't.

Wow..soap writers get a clue!! Take to heart Cady's remarks. Great article and thoughts from Cady.

Since she enjoys writing, she really should consider writing a book about the inner workings of daytime. Not necessarily a bashing tell-all, but just the changes she's seen over the last twenty years in terms of production, writing and acting. What she feels works, doesn't and where she feels the genre should go. She definitely does have a third eye when it comes to this genre.

I'll give it to her---she's hit on Pissy's weakness as a writer---taking characters to unimaginable extremes for the purposes of plot. If she can see it, why can't Goutman? Pissy has her favorities, and God help you if you ain't it.

She really nailed talking about having characters do horrible things and making them unrootable. Hogan started that on ATWT and Jean Passanante has mastered it.

You would think Jean and Chris would get a clue. A light would turn on inside their brain. <_<

You would think Jean and Chris would get a clue.

They don't have to as long as the soap press is calling their show the best of

2007. They can be as complacent as GL after the Emmy wins.

The more I read interviews and other things from Cady the more I respect, admire and like her. She is a wonderful, caring, and wise woman and an amazing actor. ATWT & AMC are pitiful for disrespecting this great talent and her fans.
