Y&R: Ashley Visits; Gloria Finally Gets Busted; Vincent Irrizary May Be Out

There are no real "08 scoops", Y&R's only been written up to Dec 24th, everything after that is scab material. Scott Hammer, along with the rest of Y&R's abysmal writing team is on strike, so he won't be there to further storyline projections. These "scoops" were given pre-strike and likely they won't be played out.

Let's not forget Latham might be fired once the strike is over, which means the new writing team will probably start from scratch.

David is nothing but an underdeveloped character who has no place on the show. What's his main purpose? Why hasn't the character been developed, since he's been on the show for a year already? Not to mention, VI has no chemistry with anyone on this show, he's better off going back to GL...

I can't wait to see how Judith Chapman handle's Gloria's downfall. Irizarry should have left ages ago, but that doesn't mean Victor and Nikki should resolve their issues just for the sake of being paired up.

It's my understanding that the scabs will follow the HW 's story projections.

And whether they do or not, my point, again, is that VI has been renewed for one year, with Sony's Steve Kent at the helm, not LML.

Personally, I feel he has tons of chem with MTS, but that's just my opinon.

Glad Gloria is finally being busted, but I don't want LML to write it. I don't think she'll allow it to have the full impact. I want Ghost!John, Jack, Ashley, Colleen, Abby, Traci, JILL and everyone who blamed Jack to apologize to him and punish that gorilla.

Yeah, and even if Nikki and David doesn't work out that doesn't mean David can't move on to someone and something else. I think he could have great chemistry with Sharon or Phyllis.

I agree that the character is under developed and rarely given a POV, but that is easily changed.

David's story with Dru was a flop, now his relationship with Nikki. How many chances does he need? The character isn't a success. Y&R had Eric Stienberg who got all of his scraps of screentime based on FAN DEMAND. What was he rewarded with? A potentially popular romance during commercial breaks and being fired! That should've been David Chow.

Eric Steinberg, Emily O'Brien, Tammy Lauren & Billy Warlock all have done good work with very limited screentime & crap writing.

VI not so much.

Don't get too excited about Gloria getting busted. Jeff tells her that the face cream he gave her was a fake and he kept the Jabot cream, put on his arm and it burned. He reads Gloria the letter William left him and Gloria tries to put the "her" that Willam talks about on Jill. Jeff tells Gloria that if she marries him, he'll keep her secret.

So it looks like Jeff will be blackmailing Gloho for some millions.

As a casual Y&R observer, I couldn't BELIEVE that HAG Gloria had the nerve to call Jack out like that in court! I was in disbelief when she railed into him like that when reading that lameass letter about John's 'love' for her(Was that a doctored letter or was it "real"...real meaning a terrible loophole or rewrite per usual).

I'm not saying that anyone in the situation is innocent, but I am SICK of all the Gloria propping on Y&R at the hands of the writers on the expense of other characters. I want someone to rip those trashy, ridiculous furs off of her once and for all.

If Eileen Davidson's Ashley is returning to confront the cream tainting ho-bag, I'm all for it. I just don't want Ashley back on Y&R. But after she was dumped with Ridge, there really are no other options...unless she were to date Felicia.
