Overall I think its a good list, of course I think that there are exclusions and I think some things are too high. I am a HUGE fan of the BJ's death on GH, but they got three spots on this list when it really could have been one.

I think that the final scene of Another World should be on there as well as Who shot Jake dream.

I also think that Nora's monologue and breaking down at Todd's trial and causing the mistrail should be on that list. That was superb acting by Hillary B Smith, Susan Haskell and Roger Howarth.

The Unabortion on AMC, should not be on this list

Thats all I can think of now

I agree, Roman.

I also think Hope's return in 1994 and her "death" should be on there too. Even Steve's "death" should be on there. Even though the story ended up sucking, Marlena being revealed as the SSK should be on there too if not just because of the sheer drama of it all. The fact that Garden of Eden made it on there discredits the list for me.

This is an excellent list that nonetheless has two major shortcomings:

1. Three of the longest running soaps--TEON, LOL, & SFT--are completely absent from the list.

2. Relatively few moments on the list occur before 1980.

Also, regarding two moments on the list, I have these questions: How exactly did AMC's Jenny die by jet ski? And on OLTL, how could Viki have killed her father in 1995 when Victor showed up alive earlier this decade?

    • Today (Thurs May 15) eppy not on paramount *menu* but it's on cbs.com. If you take the cbs episode URL and substituted paramountplus for cbs in the same URL, you get the episode on pplus https://www.cbs.com/shows/video/Huj7bAYV8H6T038u9cXam3bk6QXNkM2Y/ https://www.paramountplus.com/shows/video/Huj7bAYV8H6T038u9cXam3bk6QXNkM2Y/
    • Really good episode today. Even the characters who usually annoy me, like Chase and Brook Lynn, got some sweet scenes. I also appreciate that they're finally giving Lucky more to do, letting him in on Ric & Ava's blackmail scheme. And those Liz and Lucas scenes were fantastic;  Van Hansis has been bringing such playfulness to the role of Lucas, he brings out the best in scene partners like Laura Wright and Becky Herbst. It was also nice to get Liz's perspective on why her romantic rapprochment with Lucky is moving so slow; it makes perfect sense that she thinks he's not really capable of settling down, even if he wants to be with her.
    • I thought Keith did great as well. His scene with Colby was what sold me. He displayed the emotions that a man who knows he's made a mistake and wants to rectify should have. Its funny how Maurice has been given passes in his acting that other actors have not. What Keith has shown me is that he can atleast keep up with the ladies in his story instead of them acting circles around him when Maurice was playing the role.
    • Also Murder, She Wrote season 3 finale was the week before.
    • When Kat was in Ted's hotel room and he wasn't there, she started to write a note to leave for him, and then thought Why? and texted him instead.  Love that.

    • Thank you. And above all, it's conflict, which is what soap opera is. Not characters just being annoying because a writer rushes through story for them.

    • Maybe Carney and Levin didn't get along, but he got along with Tolan. Who knows. I SO agree about Tolan. I am sure my jaw hit the floor when I watched her first scene. She had been hyped like crazy by the soap mags. They swore she was going to be a sensation like Mulgrew. I thought she had a speech impediment. More likely she just couldn't remember her lines so she ended up slurring them from nervousness. Not everyone can do soap acting, it's very difficult. There's memorizing so many lines, then there's so little rehearsal. I think she was a theater actor. Maybe she was a good one. But when the camera was fixed on her, she just...sucked. I had nothing particular against Nicolette Goulet. She just wasn't Mary. She had no chemistry with Levin. She didn't even look like she belonged in that family (a similar situation when they replaced Sarah Felder with that blond chick who was laughable as a rookie cop). I don't believe it was impossible to recast the role. Kathleen Turner was doing soaps during this era. She would have been a phenomenal Mary. (Not to say that she would have been available, but just to point out there were good actors of that type around).
    • Bill Bell dusted off Jennifer Brooks death 13 years later on B&B with Caroline death.
