ALL: Best Tearjerkers

Roman's death

Steve's death

Isabella's death

Zach's death

Probably Addie's death too, never saw it myself though so just a guess.

Outside of death Days hasn't really done emotionally honest things of any noticeable quality in a while.

I couldn't disagree more with you on that last sentence.

All of the following IMO, have been emotionally honest things of noticeable quality (and ALL have happened in the last 15 years):

-Sami's goodbye to Marlena during the Execution storyline. Marlena sings to Sami.

-John's goodbye in Aremid.

-Bo/Hope are forced to give up JT to Barb/Glen (Kleenex Episode)

-Lexie's complete and utter emotional breakdown in her prison cell after FINALLY being caught.

-The Salem Bombings when Jennifer crashed on the bridge and Zach fell into the river.

-The conclusion of the Possession storyline when a seeminly dead Marlena came back to life.

-The bathroom scene between Claire and Ali when Ali slit her wrists in the bathtud (when Claire realized what happened, my god that was a sad scene).

-Angela Maroni's death during the Coronation Massacre, when she died in Brandon's arms.

-Jack and Abe's "death" during the Salem Stalker (I will NEVER forget Lexie's freakout in the hospital room, or Jen/Abby when they turned off life-support).

-Marlena on that cliff when she lost John in Hawaii....that was EXTRMELY emotional.

-Sami's rape

-Morning after episode after Bo learned Hope had lied to him for over a year about the paternity of JT. That was one of the most emotionally honest episodes on DAYTIME EVER IMO!

-Isabella's death

-Marlena returns to John on the pier

-Princess Gina storyline when Doug/Julie and Bo had an intervention to bring Hope back from the brink of losing her forever to Stefano. Doug singing to her and the complete emotional AND physical break down of Hope in her father's hands..never will forget that.

-Jack and Jen's emotional reunion on Melaswen in the jungle.

-The revelation that Chloe was indeed Craig's biological daughter (Kevin Spirtas was emmy worthy and the tears were definetly flowing here).

Plus NUMEROUS more. Despite what many assume, DAYS has had TONS of emotionally charged tearjerking moments over the last 10-15 years.

OLTL - February 1992. The week Megan died. I was blubbering like a baby all week! Michael Malone really knew how to twist the knife! There were so many good scenes...Megan/Sarah...Megan/Viki...Megan/Jake....Andrew....I am gonna have to find that tape and watch it again!

I wish I had a tape of those scenes, I cried buckets!

GH:

Alexis giving birth to Molly in the tunnel. GOLD for Nancy and Rick.

Ric giving Alexis the wig on the porch, and promising to take her to Paris if she just beats the cancer.

- Angela Maroni's death during the Coronation Massacre, when she died in Brandon's arms.

I despised Angela, but man that was a sad scene! They both did so well with it (Field and Cedeno).

- Marlena on that cliff when she lost John in Hawaii....that was EXTRMELY emotional.

I forgot that one. When she's screaming his name, losing her voice and just looking at the ocean as if she's just lost everything she's ever needed? Incredible scene.

- The revelation that Chloe was indeed Craig's biological daughter (Kevin Spirtas was emmy worthy and the tears were definetly flowing here).

I miss K. Spirtas. He's such a loss for DAYS.

Maureen's death on GL was a mistake in the long run, but it is also some of the most powerful soap I've ever seen. If TPTB want to kill off a core character, that is the way to do it: with dignity and attention to the details with a bunch of amazing performances included.

Also on GL, Henry Chamberlin's tribute made me bawl when Vanessa found that a note from Henry had arrived that day and begins to read it. Van was stoic throughout the entire funeral, but the dam just burst when she read the letter and sobbed in Matt's arms. Amazing! Maeve Kinkead is truly one of daytime's finest.

Also, Tony's death on GH made me cry. Brad Maule is just amazing. I was glad he was able to give us a bang out performance for his exit, in defiance of his non-use throughout the years.

Lucky's "death"

The year Genie Francis was mugged, beaten and humiliated... She was so damned robbed. Going to see Lucky's "body" was some of the best work I have ever seen in daytime. She was totally robbed and this is one of the reasons I don't watch award shows and won't again!

Last summer was a big time for pulling out the Kleenex. Jennifer's death on ATWT was perfectly done. When she said goodbye to family and friends, the show hit all the right notes. Her goodbyes to Hal and Barbara were especially tear-inducing. And, of course, the death of Hal Musnon really hit hard, since the actors were saying goodbye to the actor as well as the character.

Days-

Abes death, Lexie was really good so it where a tearjerker.

Emmerdale-

Tricia dying after the incident in the storm.

While i must admit that the worst so called tearjerker was Jacks death, Melissa Reeves was terrible as the so called widow, she didnt looked sad or looked crying at all.............................................
