I always wanted to see this. I missed out on Superman's death before. I never got to read the comic and didn't get to follow the storyline.

Excellent question. For some reason, the decision was made to change the animation for this release. I don't know why.

When that original comic was released on that Tuesday, it had capped off nearly 3 months of hype. You couldn't find a single copy anywhere here in STL, and I still have it sealed. Also, if you can, get the trade paperbacks. There are 3 of them, and they have the Death Of Superman, World Without A Superman, & The Reign Of The Supermen, which includes his return.
