AMC: Would you want Dixie back even though shes dead

Why do that to David? The best thing AMC did was start to pull him out of Dixieland. The last thing he'd need would be be thrown under her bus again. Dixie is the worst thing that ever happened to David, and when he's in her world there is NOTHING redeemable about him. The last thing David would need on a eturn to PV would to have been hiding Dixie. It would be better for him to not even return if that were the case.

I saw bring her back and don't include David, and that's fine by me. But if David is the only way it would happen, I'm gald she's dead, and I hope she says that way.

Yeah, I remember. That was when she had that big curly hairstyle. David was helping Alex with Dimitri's illness, but Dimitri was thought to be dead to the rest of the town. He didn't want anyone to know he was alive, so David, Alex and Dixie were sworn to secrecy.

David and Erica were dating back then, but David had become so preoccupied with Dimitri's case, he kept putting her off. Erica would go to see him, and it would just so happen to be when Dimitri was in for a check up, and Dixie would keep Erica out of the office at all costs.

Well, Dixie's latest stint (Dec 2005-January 2007) left me disliking her. It was the writing that did her in; poor character development on McTavish's & Frons' part.

Since Dixie is dead, she could only return as a ghost, just like Alan Quartermaine on GH. But what would Dixie's reason(s) be for returning? Her children, J.R. & Kate? Tad? Her aging uncle Palmer? Besides, isn't AMC planning an Alzheimer/Dementia story for Palmer or is it just a rumor? If they do that, Taylor Miller must return as Nina Cortlandt. You think CBS & SONY will let Peter Bergman reprise his role as Dr. Cliff Warner for a few eps?

    •   I liked the effect of the curtains closing. Yeah it was like the end of Act I.   Or maybe they are simply trying to emphasize the drama of the end of an episode -- instead of a random abrupt end that has happened in some prior episodes.
    • I posted this in the behind the scenes thread but I know this thread is busier so wanted to mention it here as well. During their instagram live yesterday, Daphnee Duplaix and Trisha Mann-Grant mentioned that they will find out this month if the show is renewed for another season. Just a heads up so we can keep an eye out for an announcement and keep our fingers crossed for a multi-year renewal!
    • They haven't explained the ownership of the Bistro, but Doug told Holly the other day he didn't get the job there. Basically Roman just hired Doug on the spot and gave him a room.  It was really nice of Roman.  I don't know if he knows who Doug is or that he stole Julie's necklace.  That was unclear-at least to me.
    • I'm not sure how I felt about it, but I do kind of like that it felt like the show telling us this concludes the first chapter of the series. Could be interesting if they only do it for big aftermath episodes. The biggest mistake with Martin is that it's almost hard to buy his anger because we've gotten no strong scenes with him and his parents. They've all been with Anita/Vernon. I can't even remember him ever even saying one word to Nicole, even in passing.
    •   Thank you! Agreed on both posts. And the comments about Mike Manning are nonsense.
    • I haven't watched yet, but did they explain the current ownership of The Bistro?  Because when RonC was writing, wasn't he applying for work with Sophia?
    • I think Brandon has gotten better in normal day to day scenes, but he’s very over the top when the character is meant to be angry or agitated. I did laugh when she started yelling at Leslie and then when he started to throw all those damn books, lol. He needs an acting coach to work out some of these kinks.
    • I've never found him as bad as some. I think he's always shined in scenes with Vernon, who should be his father. I also think he has great chemistry with Kat and Dani which I hope they tap into more over time. Dani/Martin feel like such a fun and believable Auntie/Nephew relationship.
    • I'm fighting for my life on another board for my husband Brandon and I'll do it here too lmao
