Really Alexa Havins' as Sam McCall? I know Alexa expressed interest in a Carly like role in a couple soap interveiws but I never heard her say anything else about GH. I don't see Alexa as Sam. I would rather them just make another character out of Sam then have Sam recasted.

That rumor can be squashed now that Kelly has re-signed, but there was a rumor that Alexa could end up as Sam, especially since she was moving to the west coast.

Recasts seem to be a bad things lately on ANY soap. Therefore I'm sad Alexa is leaving... but I haven't seen Amanda Baker anywhere yet so I'll see... However, it will be difficult to replace an original actress... just like Sabine replaced Rebecca.

Rebecca rejected ABC's offer to return. She left for a reason, among those she was unhappy with the writing.

Just by looking at Baker's face makes me realize that I won't like her. At least for a while. She's too much different.

Amanda is a good choice, I do like her on NS.

Jeez, what's the point of recasting Babe? It would have been much better to kill her off (but maybe a 'soap death' where she can return)...I just don't see much point to this character anymore. I'd much rather have Amanda finally brought to the forefront than another new blonde playing an unappealing character.

Also, I know it's off-topic, but since so many people are talking about Sabine Singh in this thread...I like her. I'm not 100% sold yet, but she's getting better.

Yep. Alexa is all AMC would lose here. Babe would be no loss what so ever. People would like be able to move on within an hour. I know I would.

Aelxa has proven to people and viewers that she can act. Its sad to see her go. AMC loss.

I think they should have "killed" her off. It would have been veery emotional depending how they would have wrote it. Its stupid to recast someone so quick.
