Members DramatistDreamer
The WTA worked out a deal for pay parity for the 1000 and 500 tournaments— the catch, it won’t be completed until 2033. Pay Equity Is Officially Coming to Tennis. Eventually Steve Simon, for all his faults as a head administrator, knows that today’s WTA tournament has a problem with recognizable faces at the top of the rankings. Members Faulkner
Wozniacki is un-retiring. Set to return in Montreal: Her Vogue essay about her return. She says she recently had dinner with Serena to talk it through: https://www.vogue.com/article/caroline-wozniacki-is-returning-to-tennis
Members Soapsuds
I will say she's one awful commentator for TC. She's not good at it. Maybe with her return the women's tour will become more interesting.
Members Faulkner
I saw Chris Eubanks play FAA at the USO qualies way back in 2018. He lost that match, but it’s so cool to see him win his first title today in Mallorca against a solid grass player like Mannarino. Especially at this point in his career, at 27. He’s now 43 in the world.
Members DramatistDreamer
Oh wow, congrats to Chris Eubanks. And yes, you’re right @Faulkner is really good on grass so Eubanks must feel encouraged by his successful run in Mallorca. Just out of curiosity, did Rafa make an appearance?
Members Faulkner
This is cool Rafa wasn’t at the final to my knowledge.
Members Faulkner
Kyrgios has pulled out of Wimbledon. His return from injury seemed premature anyway and he’s not defending any points from last year’s final.
Members Faulkner
FAA needs to do something different. Take a breather and get his body right. Tough R1 for Venus, but at least she got to play Centre.
Members DramatistDreamer
I missed most of these matches. I refuse to pay for ESPN+. I saw some of Venus and when I heard that scream, I knew she couldn’t recover from that to win the match. In typical fashion, she gave it a good try. Is uncle Toni still coaching FAA? That needs to change. He’s not Rafa who often played matches with a gimp. Wait, did Mmoh win??
Members Faulkner
Yeah, Mmoh won in four sets. A great opportunity for him, no doubt.
Members DramatistDreamer
Oh, alright now. Yes, I hope Mmoh can make the most of his opportunity.

Members Soapsuds
What a boring day at Wimbledon. Andy can't move on centre? The match was so boring and not competitive. But hey we've got to put on our lousy Brits on. There are better matches on the outer courts. Edited July 4, 2023 by Soapsuds
Members DramatistDreamer
This morning I saw rain delay and a tarp over the court, I just clicked out and promptly forgot about tennis for the rest of the day. So matches eventually resumed/started on the outside courts?
