Usually Haase plays well during the European indoor hard court season but it seems as if he has decided to make a surge during the North American summer hard court season, this time around.

Brad Gilbert is ragging on Chung’s serve. He is tall and has strong, strong legs, so he should get more out of his serve.

Apparently, Kyrgios behaved like a clown in the Coric match last night, tanking the second set 0-6, and then coming out guns blazing in the third to win the match. Lots of people were very entertained.

Turns out, Serena didn't know her sister's murderer had been released until she read it on IG 10 minutes before her Konta match.

I thought families were supposed to be notified of this kind of thing, no?

That explains so much. That’s crazy.

I will say a lot of people, including DramatistDreamer and others on Twitter, made the connection at least with the timing of the story. Why didn’t the tennis media, which has trafficked in so much innuendo around Venus’s car crash, Novak’s supposed family drama, etc? They wield this stuff when it suits them.

And it doesn't suit tennis media's narrative of trying to make Konta happen.

Just heard something else on a different topic.

Someone tweeted that the ITF now also has permission to change the format of Fed Cup without player consent.

I just wonder what this will do to players' health going forward.  We are already seeing a lot of withdrawals from tournaments and banged up bodies.  I think players will resort to what methods they have to, in order to try to preserve their health and their bodies.

What a mess. So many matches backed up, and the weather in Mason, Ohio isn’t looking that great until *Saturday night.*

Domi and Kiki are on their way to NYC! (There’s something about Mladenovic that reminds me of Edie Falco.)

Tursunov, y’all. Lookin like a peroxide version of Mick Hucknall from Simply Red.

His fitness is still on point, though:
