I think some of the players who showed up in Cincinnati then decided to withdraw likely found that the courts were too damn slow and decided that they didn't want their bodies to absorb all that pounding and left.

Can't say I blame them.

I hope it works out because I'd like to see her tag Mugu's ass!

But how about Tiafoe!!!

I know that Sascha was weary but Tiafoe maintained his focus and composure and closed out the match. His game and maturity are progressing, hopefully he continues this way and the confidence of beating a Top 10 player will carry over to his other matches.

And now he loses to pathetic can't return only have a serve Isner. I am not surprised at all. Tiafoe's win was more about Sasha being completely drained then Tiafoe's game. I was surprised even Justin Gimblestob said his win wasn't that big. My mouth dropped when he said that...LOL....cause you know how he loves to pimp the Americans. The rest of TC is already glowing with glee on how great the Americans will do in the US Open. Of course they will with all the top 10 out for injuries....LOL.  It's pathetic that almost all of the top 20 ranked players have to stop playing for John Isner to win matches....LOL.

For anyone who cares, former U.S. Open champion Sam Stosur has a stress fracture in her right hand and is out of the U.S. Open.

As an Australian, I for one don't care.

Milos Raonic has also withdrawn from the U.S. Open due to an ongoing wrist injury.

Wow!  Fed, Nadal, Zverev, Thiem and a bunch of nobodies this year?  Yikes!

No bodies as in John Isner who will be seeded #10...how sad...he won't win especially with him having to win in 5 set matches.
