If Jared Donaldson is going to compete on this tour.....he needs to get rid of his serve and come up with a totally new one. His serve reminds me of a newbie never played tennis before player. It is the worst part of his game. He needs to change that serve.

Yeah, I don't know what exactly happened. I will have to look at the tape again but he didn't shake the umpire's hand. I am sure Donald was upset with his awful playing. But not shaking the umps hand was not cool at all. Thumbs down on that.

IMO he plays like Chris Evert....LOL

Yes, so happy Sasha won...didn't think he would win. It was great to see him beat Stan. Now TC is showing the last few games of the match. I think he has a good chance at making the semis where he could face Roger. Tonight's match with Goffin and Kyrigos will be intersting. Sasha lost to Kyrigos badly last week. It would be a rematch.

LOL, about the comparison between RBA and Evert. She gives a firmer handshake though.

Sasha beat Stan in St. Petersburg last year but I wondered then whether St. Petersburg was a cash tournament for Stan since he didn't seem all that pressed about losing and was seen partying later on with the Zverev brothers.

Someone mentioned that since it's Stan's birthday, he'll probably be hitting the clubs in Miami with Donna.

Hmmm...I don't even remember that. Was it indoors?

Yeah, he turned 32. I had a feeling he was more interested in hitting the clubs...LOL.  Nothing Stan does anymore surprises me....LOL

) Anyways... I did really feel disgusted by Eurovision this year and I doubt I'll watch this horrific musical torture in the future. My ears and my psyche will not survive.
    • Regarding the mobster storyline: The scripts, the cardroom set, and the writing for Joey -- are all terrible. They seem to be writing a realistic depiction of compulsive gambling as an addiction, showing that it pops into his head all the time -- it has become hardwired into his brain.  The APA (American Psychological Association) describes compulsive gambling as having a similar effect on the physical brain as drug and alcohol addiction. https://www.apa.org/monitor/2023/07/how-gambling-affects-the-brain I think Jason Graham (Doug) is doing an adequate job playing Doug as a compulsive gambler, with the thoughts/urges coming into his head all the time, and being unable to stop. However, the cardroom set is awful and the mobster storyline is a bad cliché, so it's all so uninteresting to watch. I think Mr. Graham is doing the best he can with the crap they gave him to work with. If anyone reading or watching has a gambling issue, check out Gamblers Anonymous.  They have many types of meetings -- in-person, online, video, audio, etc.  They also have resources for friends/family of compulsive gamblers.
    • Today was painful (especially for Philip).  I still feel for Xander. He was clear he was happy sharing and working with Philip. It's just one more betrayal from someone he loved. Going back to last year when he found out about Victor and Fiona, then Alex and Philip. He forgave and tried. Then Philip went behind his back again. He's been walking on the edge for weeks. This is a man who was abused, neglected and has never had any therapy for his horrific past. He has zero coping skills because he's never learned them. I hate this but I refuse to hate Xander
