I know for sure that Deidre Hall's contract doesn't allow her to be mentioned as "60" and both she and Susan

Lucci have had scripts changed where they were too frequently referred to as "grandma". They keep

those scripts to a bare mininum if you notice.

Despite having two grandchildren, Erica Kane has NEVER been referred to as a Grandmother by ANYONE. She doesn't ever say grandchildren or grandchild but refers to them as "my daughter's son" or "my daughter's daughter". It is RIDICULOUS!

Down almost a million viewers. Way to go Hogan and Ken! You guys rock!!

Yes I know. DAYS has lost more viewers since last year then any other soap.

Hogan Sheffer may be doing OK at the moment, but overall he is far too overrated.

No, July isn't. Here are the three sweeps periods for 2007:

Nielsen 2007 Sweeps Dates:

April 26 - May 23, 2007

July 05 - August 01, 2007

November 01 - November 28, 2007

By that info, July is in fact a sweeps period. LOL!

Tuesday: 1.7/2,072,000

Wow. I know DAYS historically drops this week but that is still a shocking number. :(

Has anyone else heard the rumors that CBS is negotiating with P&G to cut both ATWT and GL to a half-hour? The story goes that CBS is apparently planning to force affiliates to air two full hours of the CBS Early Show (rather than the current one hour that's required), and to make up for this, they are going to give the affiliates an extra hour during the day.

I tried to find out if there's any validity to it, but I can't even find anything about CBS wanting to expand the Early Show, so I'm not sure where this is coming from.

They should expand Bold and the Beautiful to an hour.

Hmm...more of the low rated CBS Early Show?...LOL. Oy....well I wouldnt mind ATWT going down to 30 min. I enjoy B&B in the half hour form. So it wouldnt bother me. It's better than ATWT being cancelled all together.

6. ATWT 2,666,000 (-151,000/-681,000)

Just look at all the viewers ATWT has lost from last year! :o Yet, Jean Passanante and Christopher Goutman are still running the show! Make changes and fire both of them CBS!

I think it OLTL passes AMC more often than it falls below it. But I agree that this shouldn't be a 'competition'. Either way you look at it, if ABC were to cancel a soap AMC and OLTL would both be fair game.

AMC beats OLTL in HH more often than OLTL beats AMC in HH. But OLTL beats AMC more often in the 18-49 demographic than AMC beats OLTL.

The new set of numbers (the (1, etc.) at the end) denote the episode for that particular soap opera that was the most watched for the week (1) or the least watched (5, and for NBC soaps this week 3rd) for the week.

I thought August was a sweeps month, smaller and less important than February, May and November.

Never heard anything about July.
