That is true and why would she need to create more buzz when she had gigs on Y&R and DAYS? In fact it doesn't make much sense because the buzz caused by EK4L is probably what caused her those jobs and any future ones.

Years ago on another board I was accused of being an insider based on a matching IP. Of course all these years later we know lots of AOL users have the same IP. [!@#$%^&*] having a matching IP has never been solid enough for me, having experienced it as well.

Of course who knows? If she's really EK4L then she totally ruined her soap career. Such a shame because I do think she did good work at Y&R.

Brian,

Thanks for the WoST website. I am sorry that you had to go through all that crap!

Your ATWT 50 Anniversary Tribute is unrivaled! Nowhere, not in the magazines,on news shows,on ATWT itself was there a tribute half as good as yours. The Edge of Night tribute,Guiding Light tribute and Dark Shadows tributes were great too.

Also, you showed clips of one of my favorite shows of all time,"Secret Storm"! I enjoyed seeing Donna Mills in action and Jada Rowland. Speaking of,thanks for the Rowland interview, the Don Hastings interview ,the Harding LeMay interview and the others! The wonderful themes, especially the piano and oirgan classics were wonderfull! The pleasure and enjoyment I got out of WoST made the price I paid an unbelievable bargain and a steal!!!!

Again,I am sorry for the crap you had to put up with on the message board. Believe me when I say I understand!

Thanks,

James

Okay, I am not trying to feed ammunition to [s.W.S.N.B.N.] (if that's who this is), but I am curious what the lies about the soap writer Todd Strasser are concerning, that are referred to here. Is it related to my earlier question about the "Oh my! LOL" comment with regard to Soapsbuff? Thanks for anyone who can shed more light on this.

Sorry for contributing to this WOST thank you/goodbye(ish) thread turning into a [s.W.S.N.B.N.] thread though.

I should explain that I'm curious about this because I've relied on Soapsbuff's messages before for gaining more understanding of my favorite writer Richard Culliton, who worked on the GL writing team at the same time as Todd Strasser. So if there's something that should make me doubt those messages, I want to know about them so I won't be using potentially faulty information. Thanks!

Brian I am so sorry that this has happened to your website. I used to post on the forum but kind of gave up around 2004. I admire you for holding out so long. Back then there was certainly a contingent of prolific nutcases you tried hard to keep in check. I can't imagine it getting worse but I believe you if you say it did.

Nevermind. Your site is historic and shall be remembered that way. The forum was legendary, epecially in its early years. WOST's forum will be missed and you will be too.

Please promise us you'll touch base here once in a while. You are a true inernet + soaps visionary and we need your input; just as you need ours in the unlikely event that our stories experience a renaissance. We'll be waiting for you.

I will never be able to fully express the gratitude I felt hearing hearing the music from One Life to Live's early nineties platinum period at your site. In 1998 my basement flooded and all of my recordings were destroyed.

There will come a time

can someone summarize what some of this drama with the she who shall not be named is? even if it's just a brief message, I'm curious. i went to WOST for yrs. back in middle and high school but stopped for a while when we didn't have the Internet but got back on when I got my own connection. I never cared much that there was a fee because I had always wondered why you wouldn't charge for bandwidth or something like that before. But anyways, I was shocked about the forums closing. I had heard about Brian receiving nasty messages and knew he had enough and the site would be gone in a couple of years but the forums I had no idea. I understand why things had to go away but maybe a two week notice or something would have been helpful. Oh well. As long as I have the "My Guiding Light" theme (the dance version of 87') I'll be able to sleep at night. Thanks for the memories Brian!

Hi Jes,

I made a mistake when attempting to change the index page and update the subscriber database a couple of days ago. This weekend I'm not home so I don't have access to the changed pages/files on the home computer that SHOULD have been uploaded for the site, so for the time being I had to upload an older version of the index page. There isn't much I can do about the database issue until tomorrow afternoon when I get home, so enjoy the freebie in the meantime.

I'm sure other people will step in but I may as well say, that is a complete lie.

P&G were aware of and supported the website. Brian is not facing jail time. He also made no money from the website. So all wrong.

    • Nina and Portia are generally presented as entirely too savvy to not think this ketamine (don't even GET me started on that) nonsense wouldn't immediately blow up in their face. Drew, the ex-navy seal and congressman, wouldn't get a drug test immediately after acting wildly out of character? Portia allowed this to so easily be traced back to her by roping in Brad, a man who can't stand her? Nina didn't think Willow would Stand By Her Man? Girl, PAY ATTENTION! I also find it disturbing how BOTH of them are gaslighting Willow. It feels gross. They should have presented Gio as anything other than a responsible, genial and affable guy if they wanted us to buy any of Dante's ranting about him. You've known this kid since he was a baby and suddenly you're yelling at him like he's the devil incarnate? It was so forced. Every one of them, including Dante, know that they all would have done the same thing in Gio's shoes. Teen gets drunk, friends cover for them. Gio's only 5 years older than him, barely allowed to legally drink himself. How was he to know the kid had alcohol poisoning? Alexa Havins crying every day over keeping a baby secret. Ahh memories. Molly and Kristina are just the worst to their mom and Alexis allows it. Kristina does need to be committed, she's a danger to herself and others. I wish Alexis would just tell her that she knows. I can't wait until Molly finds out about her almost getting Ric and Liz killed. I need her to body slam Kristina. Sasha thinks she knows EVERYTHING. She's always giving advice and painted as right no matter what. And so holier than thou while carrying a married man's baby.
    • Correction, Chicago Hope 1994/95 was initially Thursday 9 pm, a CBS dead zone and head-to-head w/ Seinfeld. 1994/95 CBS Thursday 10 pm initially was Eye to Eye with Connie Chung. Later in the season CBS did a scheduling shift with Chicago Hope moving to Monday 10 pm, Eye to Eye with Connie Chung moving to Thursday 9 pm, and 48 Hours moving from Wednesday 10 pm to Thursday 10 pm.

    • A--I wish someone would post a better vid of the entire ball, as it must be out there. And B--nope. Evie is only in a small segment of the ball with Phillip, Rick and Mindy. She doesn't dance at all. Ross dances with Helena and Amanda. I'm not even sure why Evie is at the ball---Vanessa heartily disliked her. I did see that Billy actually asked Henry to introduce him to Vanessa, which I hadn't realized.
    • Honestly, they should've ordered more of 2000 Malibu Road for the 1992-93 midseason and aired it when Knots went on a break. That was probably their best shot.    Then of course they fumbled Central Park West by airing it in the 9PM slot instead of a 10PM slot where it would've been away from the Fox dramas. CPW got its best rating by airing randomly on a Sunday and when it was taken off the air for a "re-tooling", Party of Five's ratings actually had a spike, so clearly they were feeding off each other. But being a smaller network focused on a certain demographic, Fox could afford to be patient Party of Five, CBS couldn't...
    • Agree on Bruce Gray as Owen; they needed to cast star power. He was too lightweight against Kim and he had no chemistry with Frances Fischer except more gay buddy or daddy figure.  I loved Nola and Eliot together though. Lee Godart should have been longer term.
    • Andre has the worst fashion of the males which is off putting for someone as fine as he is. His jackets and sweaters look dated and no vintage does not work for him
    • I don’t recall MSW having a toy line in the late 80’s or early 90’s like all those Saturday morning cartoons did LOL but thought this was cute when I saw it in a vintage toy store yesterday:
