WTF is up with Roman totally covering up for Chelsea-Nick? Is this some big character shift for Roman or is this just a tidy way of wrapping up hairbrushgate or just a quirky twist that Sheffer threw in there for the surprise factor? I'm leaning toward the last one.

I think it's a clue that Roman isn't Roman. I've been suspecting Roman of being a Dimera plant for a looooooong time now.

He's funnier and darker.

Hogan Sheffer writes John very well and the script writers are giving John great lines.

Hogan has done wonders for John. I just wish Drake gave it his all...all the time.

YES!!! Ever since that EJ/John conversation in the boathouse when John was shot, I've been convinced that Roman is the secret assassain EJ mentioned. It seemed for awhile like the writers were going to gloss over it and pretend it was Steve, but if you really listen to EJ's dialogue in that scene I don't think Steve would fit the description. He said it was someone they had in Salem for a long time and no one would suspect. Steve had been gone for 16 years. Plus, because of the tarot card mind control, he was too obvious. Steve and Bo were also both on the hit list, after John, so why would Steve assassinate himself? I've been obsessed with this for months now, so I really hope the writers don't just forget about the "Secret Assassain". I've wasted way too much time thinking about it!

With Willow gone, I am now nominating Lucas as the most annoying person in Salem. Stephanie and Jeremy are likely candidates, too, but so far they haven't had enough screen time to get more than honorable mention.

Another thing on the secret assassin bit -- why is Roman not a target himself, as a top DiMera ENEMY? Sure, John has really fulfilled his role for years in the actual feud, but nothing replaces history. Hell, Roman, Bo, and John should be the three, since Steve has barely had any entanglements of the DiMera persuasion. It's really interesting. And now with Steve's brainwashing out of the way, I wonder if they're setting up the real "Secret Assassin" stuff... But is Corday willing to part with Josh?

Roman should have been a target of the Dimeras for no reason other than he is a true Brady. Bo, John and Steve--none of them are Bradys by blood. Add in the true history of the character of Roman vs. the Dimeras and he should be the #1 target.

For this matter, why isn't Eric targeted by the DiMeras? He's never once been on their radar, and he's full Brady by blood! The same cannot be said for John, Steve and Bo.

Isn't Eric over on Supernatural now fighting off demons? Maybe they're sent by the Dimeras!!!!

Am I the only one surprised by Marlena's putting down Shawn and praising Philip? I thought she was a SHELLE supporter along with Hope. Apparently not. Marlena wants her daughter to have a stabile life and she obviously sees that being with Philip rather than jump-the-gun Shawn.

I was very surprised. I have to wonder, is this how Marlena felt about John vs Roman. I know she said she loved them both, but did she see John as more of a stable choice and Roman as the one that didn't have his life straightened out or however she described Shawn. Well, I am a Shelle fan, but I have always been a bigger Phelle fan and would love to see this played out. Obviously much better than the previous storyline was.

I got chills when Stefano said it was good to be back. Enjoyed his interaction with John. Telling John he was his favorite and best Pawn. Ah.. John pulling the knife on EJ, I loved it. I admit it, I thought it was quite interesting and seing EJ back away as he appeared to be scared of what John would really do.

You know, I don't really blame Lucas for being upset about Sami being with EJ. She was almost killled and was supposed to be in the hospital. The writers could have gone a different way with his temper tantrum though.

Yeah, don't know what to think about Roman. He is an odd duck.

I can't wait for that fancy computer/editing machine to break down! Christ almighty. The editor needs to be fired and shot repeatedly for that bullsh!t.

It takes me out of the scene everytime. There I am, all excited for the cliffhanger and the final shot... adrenaline is pumping... the music is heightened, the drama is raised... then WHAM! SPECIAL EFFECT! And immediately, I'm thrown out of the story, which causes the final scene to be weakened. It's a distraction! Everyone who watches a soap opera knows that nothing should distract from the story -- not a loud/busy set... not the ugly drapes in the background... not the coffee pot on the counter... NOTHING. Not only that, but they choose to do this as the worst possible time -- THE CLIFFHANGER ENDING! The scene that's supposed to "leave you hanging" in order to come back and watch tomorrow ends up getting watered down due to flashy purple colors distracting you in the background. I've gotten to the point now where I'm not even really paying attention to what's being said on the screen in the last thirty seconds... I'm just wondering to myself, "I wonder what sh!tty effect we'll get today?" Then, only after I've seen the crappy effect, do I bother to re-wind the tape in order to see what I missed while my mind was on the anticipation of a crappy effect before. Why, why, why?

Someone needs to be FIRED. Now.

YOu said it perfectly! I too don't care about the endings anymore because ya just KNOW what's coming. Sometimes I just go blank during those last 20 seconds. I'm watching the screen, don't see, hear or think. I'm just watching and then BOOM! Special effects.

It's gotten so bad that several times I've watched the show, come on SON and seen people say, "Yay! No special effects today" or "FINALLY! Just a fade-to-black" and I'm like, "Wha? There was a fade-to-black today?"

Tony gets the best lines! I loved the phone call from Lucas..."that rude little twit". Then when Lucas was breaking things..."when the 10 year old is finished throwing his tantrum". And John saved the bottle of wine; evidently a '45 Rotschchild is pretty special. Lucas was acting obnoxious and tiresome again. I wish Sami would stand up to him more, especially today when he took her arm and pulled her away from EJ. Okay, he's jealous and scared for her, but he doesn't need to scream (didn't we just go through this with Philip?), throw things and manhandle his pregnant wife. Instead, he needs to calm down and listen for a change.

They're deliberately ruining Lucas' character and making him seem so juvenile and belligerent so we'll side with and support the beauty and wonder that is EJami, Baby!!!
