ATWT: Dusty and Alison Have Sex

“She was never planning for it to go that far,” says Marnie Schulenburg of Alison’s latest run-in with sleazy porn producer Lance, but she might as well also be talking about the spontaneous escalation of her relationship with Dusty. The week starts with Lance roughing up Ali again. “Lance isn’t going to go away easily,” says Schulenburg. Predictably, “Dusty kind of comes to her rescue,” but Lance conks him on the head almost immediately. “So the guy who usually takes care of everything is knocked out!” And Alison is again on her own, so she grabs a straight razor (maybe harkening back to those prison days?) and faces her tormentor. “A fight ensues. As much as Lance is a dirtbag, there was a time when Alison cared for him, so I don’t think she ever wanted to resort to physical violence. But he leaves her no choice. She just wants to protect herself. The whole scene is acting on instinct. It’s the worst-case scenario: What do you do?” Schulenburg says. When Dusty finally comes to, Lance has already been kicked out, but Alison still needs some saving. “It’s a little shock to see her in the state she’s in. There’s blood; he assumes she’s hurt. She’s in a state of traumatic stress. It all takes a toll on her and Dusty is really there for her.” Without really thinking about it, the comfort turns to sex. “These people care about one another. He’s come through for her again and she’s so lonely and in such a desperate and exhausted state,” says the actress. “I think they obviously care about each other, but it’s not in a romantic ‘I think we should have a relationship’ way.” The next morning, Dusty makes it clear that what happened was a mistake, though they do have another close moment before they part. A guilty Dusty then lies to Emily about why he wasn’t answering his phone. And while Em and Dusty aren’t an item, Alison realizes that she crossed a line regarding her sister. “That’s not Alison’s territory; it’s Emily’s. It’s kind of an unspoken thing and she wants to tell her. She doesn’t want any more lies. Alison’s looking for a good guy right now and Dusty’s a good guy, but he’s not ‘her’ guy.” Her guy used to be Aaron – who coincidentally comes home to Oakdale by the end of the week. His first stop? He asks a delighted Emily where to find her sister, and finally sheds some light on why the once-happy couple broke up. “He doesn’t yet realize how deep down the rabbit hole his girl actually went,” jokes Agim Kaba (Aaron). “Aaron’s got his hands full now.”

Didn't we already have Emily/Chris/Alison? Why are they doing the same story again? I feel like Alison grew so much when we last saw her and they are stripping it all away and replaying it. Poorly. I just can't get into this actress and Alison grosses me out.

Dusty should get back with Meg or maybe a Sierrs/Craig/Dusty triangle. He doesn't have any chemistry with Emily or Alison, IMO and I don't think it makes sense for him to be so involved with Emily given their history.

I think that about sums it up.

This along with other stuff I have been reading tells me ATWT is headed back to the gutter again, and the violence is back again, this time with tweens, but atleast they will be getting some airtime, I actually like them lol. Though it is not as bad as anything else we have seen though.

Atleast the Noah and Luke stuff still sounds original. And Cheri might be sticking around for a while

Aaron coming back is great but it is just like Carly's return. And I doubt we will have a story for Luke that mirrors all the rest. Can you see it now?

Luke and Noah fight. Kevin runs into Luke at Yo's. Luke and Kevin have passionate sex and Noah walks in. Yeah right ...isnt happening.

I don't believe Luke is getting a real frontburner story. He'll have a B or C story. Just look, they introduced Noah and we won't see him for another two weeks? WTF?! Where is Luke? They don't even use Luke in important scenes with his family.

I'm sure Luke will have some good days, but I don't see him ever being a major or even decent supporting character with these writers.

I don't really care either way, I think it's kind of predictable. In a twisted way, it kind of gives me hope Spread'mPeretti will be "comforting" Brad soon.

And, on a twisted level, anything that has the potential to keep Dusty and Em apart is good to me.

Please let this free Emily, PLEASE let this free Emily!!!!!

And IA about Meg and Dusty, frankly they are both so self righteous they are perfect for each other - they can just bask in the glow of each other's halos. In fact, Emily would have made MUCH more sense in the WW story considering she WORKED there at the time (since WW had taken over the Intruder) and she has loads of history with Craig (she would actually have had a motive to get him out of WW b/c she wouldn't want to work for him again) and Paul.

They've officially ruined Alison for me and after all the middle-school sh-t Jessica Dunphy's Ali went through, I never thought I'd say that. :(

I kinda floundered over whether deciding if I liked Marnie Schulenberg's version or not, but I now realize that I can't stand her. She's eerily another version of Rosanna Cabot..except far more immature. I don't care how much crap the character went through, this is not Alison Stewart. I'm SO glad that Jessica Dunphy didn't return to play out this garbage.

If this is the story Agim Kaba is going to be returning to, then what's the point?

Hasn't Dusty already banged a girl who could be young enough to be his daughter before? It's really sick to think that he'd sleep with one of his ex's old friends. And Emily/Dusty seem like a go so to know that Dusty has already had sex with her sister...*shudder*
