If that's correct, It's also pretty lame. He needs to go to TPTB and campaign for a better story. This whole internet, starting a rumor on your site, thing is kind of distasteful. If its about the contract renegotiations, Its super tacky!

Well, there's four possibilities here.

1.) Bryan is lying. Perhaps he wants people to send in letters so that he'll have a higher chance at getting a raise in his upcoming negotiations. Perhaps he's not a fan of the pay cuts.

2.) The moderator at Bryan's site is lying, and Bryan never told him/her to post what he/she did about the possibility of being fired, which is where the rumor originated.

3.) The "show spokesperson" was lying to SOD when they said that he was safe, and Bryan really is in danger of being fired.

4.) Ken Corday is lying to everyone at the show (including the spokesperson who gave the statement to SOD), trying to make everyone believe that Bryan is safe when he's actually in danger.

Take your pick... which is the most likely? LoL

ICAM! Now it looks like not only is he in danger of losing his job, his personal web site and 2C are getting thrown under the bus for running with something Bryan apparently told them. I doubt the people at his site came up with this on their own.

Unless maybe they didn't see Lucas in upcoming spoilers and got panicked, and so they decided to get everyone worried in order to save Bryan as a preemptive caution?

The show's quick response makes me even more suspicious. Rumors are constantly flying around the Internet--remember a few months ago when a lot of people were saying Bo and Hope were leaving? The show never comments on this stuff. It took months to even get confirmation that JER was out and Hogan was in. Why are they jumping on this so quickly?

Good points. This is really strange!

I don't know. As recently as earlier that day I saw many Lumi fans posting excitedly about Ali's comments about the couple in SOD and as recently as last week Bryan was telling his fans everything was OK and Lucas would be there soon to save the day (that was right before the forklift spoiler came out). I haven't seen the post at Bryan's site but the one at 2C made it pretty apparent that it was Bryan who was the source of the info. So either the mod at Bryan's personal site is lying to his fans and should be fired, or Bryan leaked this to them for some reason (either to get the upper hand in contract negotiations, out of concern he was getting fired, or to try and redirect the story toward Lumi) and the show is now tamping down the rumors and throwing Bryan's fan sites under the bus.

The show couldn't say anything about Hogan till his contract was finalized. That is why it took so long.
