I saw it on my DVR tonight too that Ryan's Hope is back on - my Mom is going to be pleased! I wonder if the schedule is going to change again though once General Hospital Night Shift begins.

UGH! What the heck is with having a 90210 rerun on at 12am/11pm? That's so random! Why not have the daily repeat of DAYS? It seems they air less daily repeats of DAYS versus the ABC soaps and Y&R.

11pm is when I watch DAYS! Boo!!!

Ugh, I hope they don't knock it off again. Seriously, why can't they just leave that timeslot alone? I mean, it's not like most people are watching at that time anyway, even though it's perfect for folks like me who record it overnight. Saturating the schedule with yet another hour of something being show 2-3 times already...just let us have that one hour every morning when the roosters crow!

Thanks to the mod for fixing the subject line! :)

BTW, what's up with the rotating Alexeis? One day it's the dapper looking Dominic Chianese (sp?), the next day it's the guy that looks like a cross between Dracula and Igor, then DC again, then the other guy again. Oy.

Oh yippee... 5am :( I still don't get why DAYS isn't repeated as much as Y&R/ABC soaps. If the ABC soaps were given special treatment, I'd understand, but Y&R gets as much repeats during the week as ABC's.

Damn. I so loved not needing to set any VCR/Cable. I'm still in the 90's with VCR technology.

The reason DAYS has less airings is probably because of space. Remember before they also had Soap Talk that took up space. I always thought it was too big for four soaps, certainly for five, although it has worked out okay. I just wish DAYS had a better marathon time instead of being opposite all of the Sunday primetime stuff.

I wonder if the reason they're removing airings now is because of the low ratings like on NBC? Y&R is probably doing good business for them which makes the lack of classic marathons even more confusing.

They still air Days twice like they have for quite awhile, now the 2nd airing on SoapNet is at a REALLY idiotic time.......

I know! If Days is their 'adult soap' (that is, not a teen soap like The OC, 90210, Melrose Place, etc.) bread and butter, why don't they give it the same late-night airing that all the other soaps (ABC lineup, Y&R) receive?!

Sometimes, I'm just not home to watch Days at 7PM, damn it! Screw a VCR! Too much hassle.

SoapNet is not so slowly turning into the "cancelled primetime soap network for teens." CPSN4T!

LMAO! The thing that struck me as funny is that he talks about how it's great that RH is back on five days a week but it's frightening for him to see himself back then ... but his character has already died on the show (which goes unmentioned)!

    • I think Nicole is about to figure out what's going on between Andre and Dani.
    • @Efulton thank you. I don't know how I missed it or didn't recall it.  I'll blame amnesia . Anyway @Errol Could the newer thread be merged to the existing? Thanks in advance.
    • I just finished watching and I have to admit, not once did I find myself wondering who wasn't there. Quick question for anyone who followed this better than I did: was it only Andrew who rescued Cat and John from Clyde, or was Shane involved too? The reactions during their scenes today felt a little off to me. I know it was meant to be vague, but I didn't find it strange that they already knew each other.
    • Yeah, financially, Luna is in better shape than Deacon and Sheila.   -- Scott Clifton must have decided to chew the scenery in every scene of this "Liam is Dying" storyline. Yikes.
    • If J.R. wasn't busy with Ewing Oil, he'd be a heckuva soap recapper. He was SO gleeful at recapping Jenna-Bobby-Pam when the trio and Mark encountered each other at the Oil Baron's Ball. That being said, Lucy, presumably Sue Ellen and maybe Ray should all know this story, or at least part of it. Lucy was definitely at Southfork during Jenna and Bobby's relationship, and I believe Sue Ellen was about to marry J.R. around the time Jenna jilted Bobby. (Ray might not have given a damn.)

    • Broadcasting Magazine (May 5, 1980) : Future US-Next TV : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive From a May 1980 Broadcasting issue: Meredith Broadcasting in association with Alan Sloan Inc has committed itself to produce series of five half hours in soap opera form, "designed for youngers 11-14 and their parents." Programs, yet untitled, "will deal with problems teen-agers face in their relationships with peers and parents," with script topics reviewed in advance by teachers, psychologists and others. First episode is to air on Meredith's five TV's in September and ground broadcaster also anticipates syndication. If successful, idea is to go to full-fledged series.
    • Broadcasting Magazine (May 5, 1980) : Future US-Next TV : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive Looking at an old Broadcast issue with a fall schedule preview. Their description of the show: Lorimar Productions turns its cameras "below the surface of a small, traditional, thriving college town still large controlled by its founders, the Millingtons." Plot elements include "nurtured dreams, closely-held desires, closeted shame and vital truths about friends and family." Lee Rich, Michael Filerman and David Jacobs are executive producers of the Roundelay production, in association with Lorimar.  They also mention the show in a small section about advertising's point of view.  Advertising agency reaction to the new fall line-ups announced by ABC and CBS last week varied. But upfront, some agency types were apprehensive that their advertisers might be turned off by some of the new "titillating" entries. "I'm concerned about the amount of permissiveness," said one executive, with CBS' Secrets of Midland Heights commonly mentioned as one possible offender.
    • I just saw this. Thanks for sharing. The classic Y&R thread may enjoy your posts. It was in very poor taste for Andy Cohen to blindside MTS with that type of question, but I'm not surprised as he's an awful person.
    • The way Kat was acting today, it only enhances Silk Press Sheila's stalking accusations.   She certainly takes after her Aunt Dani. It took about 70 episodes, but the show seems to have finally understood that Ashley/Derek have to interact with the rest of the canvas in order to get viewers to care about them... or at least understand what their purpose for being on the show. Leslie vs Kat is a wonderful pairing.... and Leslie/Tomas was comically.   Dani's delusion that she's still Bill's wife.... no comment. I really hope that Eva doesn't turn out to be Nicole's child.. because I find the fall out from the anniversary party to be pretty good and there's more possibilities having Eva not being Nicole's child then being her child..imho.
