We probably would if the writers bothered to write for them... but they've proven unable to write anything for them. Even though Ashley has potential as a character.
@janea4oldMy theory is that Joey might end up being Ashley's father... but time will tell.
But, you have to admit, Dani seems to be, relishing in the fact that she is not the only one in pain, or had a trash husband. That's how it is coming across to me, she is enjoying this too much!
I assume not as we would have probably heard, but she could have been a good fit. I could see her being a good Leslie Brooks recast, although by that point the show had fully moved on from Leslie.
I'm not sure who she could have been on B&B, although I could see her playing yet another Beth Logan recast.
Recently she even said this
"Contrary to popular opinion everything does not have to be about me." - Dani BTG
and to me it was consistent with her actions of late. I love her perspective about Nicole as her sister, now, in a time of need. She's literally been all about someone else, quite recently.
The Jan/Ashley phone conversation today - They talked about Jan as a single mom raising Ashley.
The Jan/Leslie diner conversation today - Jan said she she never lied to Ashley about the father.
So then does Ashley know who her father was/is?
And, even if the same topic of conversation is had, it isn't a re-hashing of the same dialogue over and over again; it's refreshed, and slightly changed, etc.
Those messy diner scenes were amazing. I love this kind of soap scene. Multiple characters in each others' business at the same time. So fun. And so different from Y&R that seems to only have 2 or 3 people talking to each other while the rest of the restaurant is empty.
Amber has completely won me over as Eva. She's currently my fave daytimer. I can't wait to watch her continually shine.
The best thing about this show compared to the others is that it...moves. Compared to Y&R and B&B where they have literally the same conversation for an entire week (sometimes weeks!), BTG doesn't feel at all repetitive. Finally. A soap soaping. Such a breath of fresh air.
