ITA! This just wasn't the right actress to play Greenlee and the writing isn't ringing true either. First yesterday the big mess up was when Greenlee refered to RYAN as the love of her life. That is NOT the case. Anyone who's watched AMC for a considerable amount of time knows LEO is the love of Greenlee's life. And as pissed as Greenlee was when she left town and then left her stock to Babe because "One baby stealing bitch deserved another", no way in hell would she come back all happy go lucky thinking she and Kendall would be BFFs again and Ryan would fall back in love with her. Greenlee should have come back to town ready to cause hell, not bake cookies.

AMC_Zendall_Fan, I understand, but Adam had turned against JR and disowned him the very night he found out the news about KWAK! The sad part is, that JR ultimately chose to stay quite about KWAK's secret because he choose his father's happiness over Tad's! Now he has both father's hating him! I just think its really sad!

Well, no offense to the new Greenlee, but she's NO Rebecca. and This new Greenlee, who is she? Greenlee should be a total bitch, not all 'I'm sorry Kendall, I'm sorry Ryan, how's the baby, let's all be friends" act. Come ON! We're not that stupid.

I LOVE Amanda! Ahh!

Jamie and Babe are having alot of scenes together, reminiscing about their baby stealing days and remorseful. Perhaps they are setting up pairing them up again and having them ride off into the sunset.

I thought the show was great. Adam and Amanda especially. I love how Chrishelle is getting more airtime! And it sounds like it will continue.

I'm swooning just from Weds preview :)

ETA:

I love Erica/Sean scenes. I think they had tons of chemistry and make a good mother/son-like team. I also cracked up at the Ava/Erica exchanges

I know I'm going to be the minority on this but I liked the Kenlee scenes. I think the new actress did a good job and she and AM played great off one another. I adore Rebecca and would love for her to return to the role but so far I like this new actress too.

I loved Sean&Erica

& I really loved how his face changed when he talked about Colby

I also love Colby

Shes warmed up

Along with Amanda

A year ago I would never of thought she would be this good

I want another Jamie/Amanda relationship

A real one!

I just see this chemistry with them now

I think the new Greenlee just needs a couple months to get used to it & she will get better

but I dont think ANYONE can do Rebeccas Greenlee as well as her

She made It her own

I felt so sad for Adam in that final shot. Tad, the Careys and Adam's kids are all happy and celebrating and then they show Adam all alone after a heart attack. He got screwed over big time and he's paying for it with no one by his side. I reallly HATE that it went down like this

We don't agree on much -- and I'd hate it if we did, because that would be no fun... but on this, I couldn't agree with you more! He totally got shafted. The story should have ended with Adam and JR both free of the Carey Girls, and that's that. But instead, we get Tad Carey and JR Carey. Not cute. Also Colby Carey.

ETA:

My heart broke for Amanda. I so totally feel for her. That's one of the very very very few good moves McTavish made with the Amanda character. Instead of making her yet another Valley Girl Whore, as which she was desperately close to obtaining a permanent brand, McTavish showed how devoted Amanda was to Janet and that in and of itself salvaged the character for me. Plus, I think Chrishelle is totally at her best playing off of the vets like David Canary and Kate Collins. Oh, my gawd, when Amanda was so forgiving of Janet for the bump on the head, I totally understood. Amanda understood.

I have to say I enjoyed the warehouse resolution to the storyline. I'm so glad Tad understood that Janet was concerned for the baby's well being. I always knew that about Janet. Mental or not, that woman is MOTHER! She goes on a primal instinct when it comes to babies. I am going to miss Kate, though.

Scenes like that with Adam have been one of the very few things that's moved me (in a real huma, good soapy kind of way) on this show in recent memory. It's been a repeated theme/image they've shown over the last weeks. I felt bad, too and hated it for Adam and like you hated how it all went down. Tad and KWAK suffered a couple of weeks, knowing their baby was alive. I don't know if they think this story is supposed to seriously represent redemption through similar suffering as Bianca suffered during MiMo's "death" as real-deal retribution for KWAK and Tad or not. If so, I AIN'T feeling it. They suffered, but not as much as Bianca since they knew that baby was alive and had a chance of tracking her down, not as long...a couple of weeks versus Bianca and nine months of sniffing her baby's birthing gown to keep from going insane.

I know that's all be beaten to death, but my point is...

What makes it so difficult for me to buy this redemption attempt/storyline as presented, is the huge quantity of scenes over the weeks with KWAK as a "paragon of parenting" (stolen from somebody at SOC) all decked out in her blue silk hospital gown, beat back face and throngs of blood relations, SadSackeus Martin-Carey, Church of the Purpose Driven BJ pilgrims AND Adams' own family (having turned their back on him and becoming Official Hobillies a la Colby) throwing themselves at her feet, glowing in familial camraderie, love, concern then ultimately joy at Jenny's return. While Adam, an almost singularly clean figure in his actions during The Baby Switch then gives Babe & KWAK second chances, even leading to love (or so they say onscreen) and marriage to Mama Hobilly...lies alone in a hospital room, in despair, rejected...with nothing/no one that he loves, no one he's protected and given loyalty around him. They're all partying and back-slapping in KWAK's room enjoying their stolen lives they've created for themselves. Hobillies, Martins (and Laverys just because I can't stand them) win again. And why exactly?

Anybody think this Carey Baby Napping has been truncated? Anyone know it's one of the last of McT's stories being cleaned-up/wrapped up or is it one from the new transition team?

The greatest tv series season finale in history.
    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!

    • In case it is of interest to anyone here, I have digital copies (computer files, mp4 etc.) of all of the episodes. And, besides having the files they are all up on my usual video hosting site, acct name: shallotpeel, channel it is in: Primetime Soaps and file names like  Flamingo Road S1E15 Hurricane Flamingo Road was a primetime soap on NBC by Lorimar Productions. 2 seasons. 1980-1982. Morgan Fairchild, Barbara Rush. Developed by Rita Lakin.
    • Arguably DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been brilliant lately & definitely was last week. But, here I am with nitpick & technicalities. This was the only misstep but it was just a stupid thing that should have been caught. Deidre Hall as Marlena has this one problematic line, "It didn't matter how many identities you had, I always knew exactly who you were, you were the man who saved my life." - Marlena, DAYS, 6-2-25 Unfortunately the flashback closest to it was when Marlena was on the phone, terrified because she thought he was Stefano. Yes, it's true that the line is not accurate. There were many times when she did not feel the way she is claiming because of whatever was going on in story with his 'retconned to hell & back' identity & origin story. Does it keep the whole week from being called excellent? Nope.
