I know I've pretty much hated everything about DAYS for the last four months, but I thought today's was pretty damn good!

JEL shines as Adrienne, but I think we all knew that would happen anyway!

Exactly right. Phillip didn't give five flips about Claire when he left her because his ego was bruised (same as Roman left Sami and Carrie when they needed him). Had he stayed, then absolutely, he'd have a chance. He was assured that he would be a constant in Claire's life and he left.

Claire needs to be with Marlena. She's known Marlena all her short life so far, she's comfortable with her and Marlena could use something positive in her life.

I'd pay money for THIS line...

EJ: "All the while, as I was growing up, my mother would warn me that there were people in the world who wanted to harm me -- one was an 'evil vampire,' my father Stefano. The other was a wonderful woman she referred to as 'that mean, mean, mean Kristen.' Guess what? They found me."

Sami needs to try blurting out something like "I slept with EJ to save your life and maybe this baby is his"--that would shut up Lucas and give her a chance to tell him the truth. Why does he never give her a chance to talk when she's trying to come clean? I'm so frustrated with Lucas! And I agree wholeheartedly with everyone who's posted about their relationship because I've come to hate them as a romantic couple. The writers need to either develop Lucas as a character with a real personality and give him some brains and a backbone or write him out of Salem. And quit giving them these saccharine sweet scenes; Sami is not a "sweet" character. I'm also surprised this is her wedding day, and she's hanging out at home with Lucas and Will. At least the wedding is finally here, and I'm excited even though I really don't want Sami and Lucas married. A Sami wedding is always fun and exciting, and we should see some vets this week.

Glad Steve's out of that mental hospital. Go, Adrienne! Is EJ losing his grip on things? Or is this all part of his twisted plan?

I'm so sick of the island story. Everyone involved is acting childish and irresponsible, and I don't think Claire is safe right now with any of them. I was glad Gabby told Shawn how stupid he was being, wanting to go after Philip with a gun when he could hardly even stand up. Get back to Salem and let Marlena and Bo and Hope take care of that baby while the Three Stooges get their acts together.

Though I would've liked Sami to come clean before the wedding, at least she's made a genuine attempt and isn't actively trying to keep Lucas in the dark. The latter would have compromised her development under Hogan. Lucas cutting her off was a bit annoying but I think it will make more sense in light of a twist later in the week. ;)

I'll be happy to never again see an island or mental institute on DAYS.

Ok show and it was nice to see Marlena, Bo & Hope in the previews for tomorrow. The rest of the week should be awesome.

There are a few reasons why I feel Bo and Hope are better-suited to care for Claire in the meantime. First off, Marlena has a lot going on in her life with John's situation and therefore she spends a fair amount of time at his bedside. That's going to make it very difficult for her to care for Claire, where she may often have to arrange a babysitter for her. Next, Hope is a stay-at-home mom, which will allow Claire to get equipped with a familiar face, in a consistent, and stable enivrnoment with minimal change. Not to mention, Claire will better understand family-life having a mother-like, and father-like figure. Lastly, Bo and Hope have a little girl, who is much younger than Claire, but offers Claire the opportunity to have another child to play with, which is critical at her age.

    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?
    • This is the coldest early June in my life. It's like it's January.

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!

    • In case it is of interest to anyone here, I have digital copies (computer files, mp4 etc.) of all of the episodes. And, besides having the files they are all up on my usual video hosting site, acct name: shallotpeel, channel it is in: Primetime Soaps and file names like  Flamingo Road S1E15 Hurricane Flamingo Road was a primetime soap on NBC by Lorimar Productions. 2 seasons. 1980-1982. Morgan Fairchild, Barbara Rush. Developed by Rita Lakin.
    • Arguably DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been brilliant lately & definitely was last week. But, here I am with nitpick & technicalities. This was the only misstep but it was just a stupid thing that should have been caught. Deidre Hall as Marlena has this one problematic line, "It didn't matter how many identities you had, I always knew exactly who you were, you were the man who saved my life." - Marlena, DAYS, 6-2-25 Unfortunately the flashback closest to it was when Marlena was on the phone, terrified because she thought he was Stefano. Yes, it's true that the line is not accurate. There were many times when she did not feel the way she is claiming because of whatever was going on in story with his 'retconned to hell & back' identity & origin story. Does it keep the whole week from being called excellent? Nope.

Newsom is a craven opportunist, but his comments today were exactly how better people need to handle Trump.
