I know that a lot of people believe that Eileen Davidson is the one and only Kristen Dimera. I agree. I couldn't see anyone else playing her. However, if they recast her, would you accept Kimberlin Brown as Kristen? I don't really know if I could. I am interested to see everyone's answers because both Kimberlin and Eileen have huge fan bases.

I know that I, personally, would accept Cynthia Watros. I can't think of others right now. I think it's hard to recast her only because she put such an amazing stamp on the role so it's hard to think of anyone else playing her other then a few select actresses.

Cynthia Watros is the ONLY other actress besides ED I would accept. But that's never gonna happen, so....

IMO, Kristen is one of those characters that can't be recast. That's just me though. But like any character on the soaps, TPTB can choose to do anything they want and that includes recasting Kristen.

Someone once mentioned Cady McClain, and at first, I disagreed. But after watching some of her work as Rosanna on ATWT, she plays bitch rather well. She resembles Eileen a bit as well. I think she could work.

Cyntha Watros is definitely a great candidate. I would also say Marcy Walker.

It's always funny to me that Cynthia Watros is usually the #1 choice for a Kristen recast, and she was the one who went head to head with Eileen Davidson (and won) at the Emmys! Anyway... at the moment, these are the first few that jumped into my mind. I change my mind alot, though, LoL

2.) Barbara Crampton

3.) Tonja Walker

4.) Cady McClain (she's grown on me... I still say she couldn't do Susan, though)

If they were to recast Kristen on DAYS, I think Cynthia Preston would do a great job, but she's too young, especially since they rapidly aged EJ. Robin Christopher could pull it off, she's a phenomenal actress.

Eileen will always be Kristen to me too and I cannot imagine another actress no matter how good in her place.

But Kenny, I disagree on Barbara Crampton! Though it was short, she appeared on Days as Marlena's cousin. Again though it was short, I don't want to see any past Days actors come back in other roles!

Thanks Kenny for your list because I remember a discussion a long time aog and I remember your list being the same as mine. Your list features the only actresses I can see as possible replacements. I don't know if they would work but I do think those are the ones that stand the best chance of making a recast work.

Kristen would have to be there with a solid purpose and not just recast for the hell of it! And Kenny I agree with your choices the most!!! And I think CM could do Susan and damn good!!!

Fiona Hutchison would be just AWESOME in the role IMO.

I don't think Tonja Walker would cut it, I've seen all of her as Alex and I kinda think she'd overact as Kristen (plus those big eyes LOL, I always imagine Kristen as a mediocre eye woman).

My picks would be Cynthia Watros, Kimberlin Brown or Fiona Hutchison, with Fiona as my personal choice. I never thought of her until Ridge mentioned her. She'd be awesome as Kristen and as wonderful an actress she is, I bet she could do Susan Banks Wells as well.

I love Cady McClain, but she's too young for Kristen (it would be crazy to see her as mother to James Scott's EJ!, even though she was mom to AMC's JR), as is Cynthia Preston.
