Its confirmed.

I got an email today from Continental Airlines telling me that I'm scheduled to fly down to Houston, TX for an interview to be a flight attendent. I really hope that it goes well. I'm nervous and excited at the same time!

I leave NY early Friday morning and return that evening.

Wish me luck!

Good Luck Shawn! And you are coming to my area of the woods! ;) Mmmmm....Shawn in Texas! :DB)

Simon calledhim, andI quote, "Incredible." This is atrocious. I just know that no-talent is going to win the show. And did you see his dad (I'm guessing) in the audience? Grinning with pride andjoy? Um, your son SUCKS@! He can't SING. He's a nationaljoke! You're hurting him more than helping him by supporting a dream that he himself, even, KNOWS isn't his!!

SanJaha needs to go already, oh how I can't stand him, I do love Simon thought, lets try something different incredible, that was funny, hopefully America will take Simon's words to mean Horrible and vote that non-singing piece of crap off. and I have lost all respect for Tony Bennent.

    • I'm good with the gushing, too. There aren't many soap icons like John Black, and that's important to celebrate and remember. And yes, life does go on for other characters, but as they say, timing is everything. Going sky diving the day before the funeral? And during a week of shows that were so powerful emotionally? No.
    • No. There might have been a slight pause for dramatic effect after his "death," but pretty soon after they showed him in France getting plastic surgery and getting involved with his doctor, then planning with her to bring Christina to France. (She thought he had good reason to do it; she wasn't a bad person or anything). Now that I think of it, there must have been some kind of pause before that, during the 70s, because when Rita was accused of killing a patient when she lived in Texas, part of the backstory was that Roger had been there, too. Not sure exactly when or how long that was.
    • Thank you. She’s disgusting.
    • I've already stated that I don't like Doug being written as this meek and submissive. It was so lame watching him leave her like that. Vanessa can divorce him, but she then needs to get her thot ass into therapy. She's not only having sex with every guy she runs into, but is now having  sex with a skeevy perv on a poker table. I'm going to give the BTG some credit here. For months, many on this board were delighting in the Vanessa/Joey flirting and what they saw as chemistry. I think we're now seeing what the writers always intended -- that Joey is a disgusting POS wannabe mobster.
    • John Black actually was the ultimate good guy soap hero. So I don’t mind the town gushing over him. It’s deserved.
    • Be glad it wasn't a Perry production.

    • The whole town gushing over John Black as if he was a saint is eye rolling.  I guess death really colors people's memories over his many flaws, but I guess that is normal and human nature. I'm still confused as to why Leo hasn't been written out.  The actor stank up two soaps with his sub par acting, what does he have on TPTB's to remain on these soaps.   What's the point of Cat?  I hope the new head-writers figure out her purpose and develop her character. And I much prefer scenes not focusing on John's death because life does go on for the world when someone passes.
