Hallelujah! I came into this thread with my eyes partially closed, afraid of what I'd read.

Congrats to Renee if Y&R goes through with the new character for her, though. I love Renee!

I am glad that was put to rest, but I am crossing my fingers that Renee ends up on Y&R (in a new role).

Awesome for Renee! Y&R is the BEST place for her. Renee shouldn't hold out for DAYS at all there are no signs or indications that they want her back and even if she was back there are no signs that they would use her in any type of capacity. Y&R is truly the best place for her and her talent.

I really hope she ends up on their but am relieved Dru is not being recast. Which really leaves me wondering how they are going to write Dru out.....

DAYS has nothing for her to do...hence why they fired her! I say go for it girl....

This is the thing with Y&R....

They get talented actors from past shows, but then they box them in a corner when they haven't even been on the show for a long time. There are times where they keep talking about giving them a back story so we know what they are all about; only for the ball to be dropped.

Renee deserves to be in a role that she will shine in and do well in; not a possible role where three months down the line, we are still scratching our heads, saying in discussion threads "What is her story? What is her purpose of being in Genoa City?

I'm glad for Renee. Yes, I'd like to see her back as Lexie on DAYS, but if Y&R is going to use her, then she needs to go there. If I were Renee, I would jump at any opportunity to be on Y&R, a show where they use their actors. It's more than anything DAYS ever gave her. The one story that she did have (baby switch), she was a freaking supporting character!

Like hell she did! That storyline was nothing but Hope's story. She was the lead in that storyline. Sure, Lexie had some awesome scenes and the story may seem like it was hers, but if you really go back to it, the Carvers were nothing but supporting characters to the John/Hope/Bo storyline that Langan was obsessed with.

I don't think Renee will go to Y&R much less anywhere else. She mentioned in her exit interview that she had lots to do until the Fall with that skin care line she endorses and a few other things. She wanted to take a break from acting. She is also loyal to Days. Her and Jim Reynolds (I know he is still on days but I lump them together) are just not the types to go elsewhere unless they were told flat out there wasn't a chance they would ever return. I am as sure as ever she will be back on Days just like I was sure about Matt Ashford. The fact that Lexie is coming up so much in story right now makes me think it will happen soon. Her exit was too open-ended for it to be final IMO.
