Members JER Soaps Fan
I hope and pray every day you're right, but ever since Hogan called them a "tragic" couple, and because nick IS a dork, I just get the feeling that he is SO going to die just before they finally become a real "couple." Chelsea will have become a better person, all because of him, Shane Patton. Cue montage at Nick's funeral, of Chick's good times together. Chelsea vows to not let him down, and stay a good person. I just totally see that happening.
Members JER Soaps Fan
Why is it that you ALWAYS say what's on my mind? Even the littlest things? I LOVED "okey-dokey!" It was even a little HOT (don't ask).
Members JER Soaps Fan
Now that line was either really great or really cheesy, but I SWEAR I mouthed that he would say that just before he did. It was predictable, lol. Perfect line to get the girl back.

Members Andre
That sounds very spoilery, because it is a very good guess I never really considered. Dammit.
Members JER Soaps Fan
I'm telling you! lol. Sorry. Hogan wouldn't have used the word "tragic." I was scared of that word from day one. Nick's fate, I feel, is sealed.
Members JER Soaps Fan
I totally see it happening. Not with JER but with a writer like Hogan, I can see the "tragic" descriptor mean that Chelsea's character grows from Nick's influence on her life; even in his death, she is touched by him. It's a bittersweet love story.
Members Ives
I am trying to recall if that comment was made when he initially discussed Nick as geeky virgin who *Chelsea* would deflower and then break off with him in a cruel way. Anyone else remember this? I swear that was his initial take on the storyline. Glad he took it in a different direction (could do with Billie's involvement though). Members JER Soaps Fan
I do hope someone can confirm, with proof, this snippet. Because I seem to remember this too. I'm just trying to prepare myself since I've always believed Nick would tragically die -- JUST when he and Chelsea really get it goin'.
Members JER Soaps Fan
Don't get me wrong, I love Chick. But do they have great commercial appeal? That's the question. If so, then I think (and would hope) Hogan would rewrite their story -- again. Because they have the best story of any couple on "Days" as far as Im concerned. I'm riveted, absolutely RIVETED by the actors and the writing. And I was just shocked and completely taken aback to see that, on a MONDAY no less, Hogan reunited these crazy cats. THAT FAST. You just don't see that. EVER.
Members DrewH
I don't remember anything about Nick taking Chelsea's virginity. I do, however, recall him referring to Nick and Chelsea as a tragic love story right out of Shakespare (Romeo & Juliet).
Members JER Soaps Fan
OH, BAM. You hit the nail on the head! I remember that too. That's why I feared this story from the get-go. "Romeo and Juliet" means ONE THING: death to Nick.

Members JER Soaps Fan
Start your letter-writing campaigns ASAP, guys. We CAN'T let this happen. Chick is once in a lifetime kind of couple. Oh HOgan...you better not DARE.
