Hogan was listed with all the other ATWT writers.

How is that possible?

Didn't he leave that show two years ago or so?!

Am I dreaming this?!!!

I think he came back briefly as a breakdown writer or something before he joined DAYS.

They deserved this award, but it's ironic the story that won it for them is the story they refuse to play. Instead of getting a backlash over Gay!Luke, they got a hugely positive response not only for the writing (which was flawless), but the acting as well. So why drop the story like a hot potato? Why aren't we seeing Luke deal with school and romance? Why the hell did they SORAS Faith when Luke still has a big (very successful) story to continue?

Y&R has strong episodes as well, but those might work better with the visual aid. Peter Bergman made that stuff come alive.

I wonder the same thing. They completely lost all momentum in the Luke storyline by dropping it to the side.

HAHAHAHAHA LATHAM!

Yes, I’m sooo loving she didn’t win... Hooray!

But, the nominations sucked. How can you pick the least possible evil of those nominated? Horror. As I said it is criminal to nominate AMC and not nominate GH.

They should change the whole procedure.

Dear GOD, I had no idea about this!!!

Well, a writer has to be employed for 13 weeks in the election period in order to be nominated. Hogan filled that condition.

This is great news, now only if this would inspire JP to get Luke's storyline moving again, I still don't understand why it was dropped it was a great story with so much more to tell. :(

Oh....and ya'll look at this lovely quote from J.P. shortly after the win...

"It's particularly validating to win the WGA Award," said ATWT Headwriter Jean Passanante. "We all know that writers are the toughest judges of each other's work, and so we are very gratified to know we must be doing something right!"

They deserved it for this particular episode.

However, this means we'll never get rid of Jean P. now.

Despite the rot at the top of ATWT'S writing staff, they have some of the best script writers and I am glad they got recognized!

Richard Culiton should be promoted to HW if you ask me.

wow, that quote is just laughable!

The one storyline they won for was the same storyline they dropped like a sack of potatoes the minute they got the chance.
