What Passions storyline will be most radically altered??

How far in advance are Passions' scripts written? 3 months before episodes air?

In other words, when would the first episodes written post-cancellation announcement be airing?

Nass, that's the smartest question anyone has asked in recent memory. Because I'm sorry, Shuis fans, but it's clear that LUCY are the rooting couple now. That's not likely to change in just a few short writing months. Face it, Shuis are "dunzo," as they say.

JER is terrible. I started watching at the beginning and Shuis were the EPIC LOVE STORY -- they flashbacked through the ages to the different incarnations their love took. And it will just die? Gawd.

Yes, Shuis were epic. I got suckered in too. But now...well...it's all about Lucy. And I can deal wtih that. Maybe. Oh, dear GOD, Andre, you're making me feel guilty. Now I'm starting to want a miraculous Shuis reunion!!!

Never say never - it'll just take 2 months or so to redeem Sheridan, overload on the Shuis flashbacks and great love story, demonize Fancy or kill her off or maybe reunite her with Noah

Do you think we'll start seeing the new episodes around May? May - September gives JER 4 months to execute his final arc

DEAR GOD, I hope we see the post-cancellation episodes beginning sooner than May! The announcement was late January, right? I should hope the new episodes appear in March, at the VERY least!!!

The production office learned about cancellation the Week of January 15. Passions normally films 6-8 weeks ahead of airing; therefore, episodes shot after cancellation announcement would air from early-mid March.

Doesn't Passions have a long lead time from when storylines and scripts are written and when they go into production? By mid-January, I would guess scripts would have been written into early April.

How much would it cost for the writers to tweak storylines and scripts that have been completed?

Another question: Would JER start altering current scripts shooting now, or do you think he would wait longer until he has a definitive plan?

I don't think we'll be seeing story changes until April/May, when the post-cancellation writing begins to air.

Ohmigosh, Rion, you are SO full of it!

ESPECIALLY after the [!@#$%^&*] incident, I know it's possible: you say all these statements that begin with "I think" and "I don't think" because you ARE JER, or Peggy Schibi, or some other member of the "Passions" writing team, aren't you?!!!

How else could you guess that story changes aren't until April or May? Give itup! Be proud! Come out!!! (Or, as SON has proven, you will be OUT-ed.) ;)

It looks like Passions is now filming only 4 weeks ahead like the other soaps did. (Late 2006, the episodes were being filmed 8 weeks in advance).

According to the new soap magazines, Liza Huber started filming episodes on April 5, and they will air on May 9. Also, Eric Martsolf made a remark about his last episode being August 3; the last airdate is September 7.

Goodness! Four weeks ahead?!! Why?!!! Oh, I bet something JUICY is going on behind the scenes that will show up ON our screens! How exciting! There can be NO OTHER reason for the change in filming.

At the end of the year, most soaps tape six to seven weeks ahead so the cast and crew can have a holiday break, so that may be something you want to factor in depending how late in 2006 you are talking.

I don't know...I've heard that for "Passions" long delays from tape to air were commonplace. It may have had to do with the special effects and that sort of thing... I actually think this is sort of new for the show. Can anyone help us here?
