ALL: Goofs from soap writers

We have all seen them mess up on numerous occasions but which goofs seem to stand out for you? I remember reading a couple years back when Guza and Pratt were penning the story about Carly's rescue from Bolivia and they were going to have Bolivia's coast guard come to Carly's aid but Bolivia did not have a coast guard because Bolivia doesn't have a coast! They joked about how they were attending geography classes but in all honesty they really ought to go study geography. It would do them a whole world of good (no pun intended)

Others to name are Erica's unabortion talk about a goof big time.....oh and killing off Gillian now that was a goof

GH isn't the only one to make geography goofs. Illinois somehow managed to have a cruise ship docked outside of town when Mike and Katie went on a Caribbean honeymoon cruise. And there's the mystery of how Jack floated across the Mississippi River and wound up in Missouri when he had amnesia.

Next to killing off Dixie this is right there on the list what a big mistake though I do think if Passante was to finish the story before she was fired it would have been revealed that Gillian was alive not this bulcrap rushed ending to to wrap up this storyline R. Culliton gave us.

At AMC, Megan McTavish's tendency to have long lost family members who just found out about each other two months ago, be closer than ever today as if they've known about each other for years and share some deep history.

Di's reaction to Dixie was SUCH scenery chewing because it's just hard for me to believe that they shared this deep sisterly bond relationship.

Same with the Stalker Fetus. It's hard for me to believe that Erica, Bianca and Kendall view this bitter, angry, obnoxious brat as a son and brother and act like they have this strong family bond -- when they have ZERO history with one another.

McTavish also made Jackson this overbearing, overprotective father over his grown ass 25 year old long lost daughter Greenlee.

Zach's all heartbroken over losing Ethan, after the most bitter and cantankerous relationship as well as only knowing each other existed for merely a year.

So, yeah. I think one of the major goofs is thinking that all because you're related, you share this strong, deep, unbreakable bond and devotion to someone -- no matter how long you've been apart, or how recently you've reunited. YEARS of history missing be damned!

Everything R Sinclair said.

Plus, Ryan dumping Kendall to marry and fall in love with his former stalker, Greenlee, whom he had previously despised. It was an insult to those of us who liked his romance with Kendall and loved him with Gillian.

More geographical errors in Pine Valley - where does Pennsylvania have a coastal beach? I lived there for ten years and had there been one, I would have known about it and been there every free day I had in summer.

LOL! I will never forget the Caribbean Cruise storyline that was hilarous, to this day we are all still trying to figure out how they docked in Oakdale.

GL: Killing off Maureen. I think it would have been better for her to live, thus creating tons of storyline possibilities in telling the divorce between Ed and Maureen. Claire would have returned to town stirring the pot even more.

One Life To Live ... this show has to be the worst offender when it comes to a character racing across town and accomplishing significant activities in another location, while the person they were JUST TALKING TO has not done so much as bat an eyelash and is in the exact same position in the exact same scene that they were just sharing with the person who is now miles away.

It's a pet peeve of mine.
