Have faith Cheap! Jason does not love Liz, he is doing it for the baby. Liz said today "You love Sam and I love Lucky." When she said that, I wanted to smack her, because she has been saying for months that she doesn't love Lucky anymore, so go figure! Also, if Jason was in love Liz, he would have been with her already, because that is just the type of person he is. And I don't by it for one second that she would accept his life style. That is complete BULL. If she can't handle Luck's drug habit then how can she handle a man who kills people???

I have a feeling (not a spoiler), that she wants to know if Jason will stop loving Sam or if Jason can love her like that. Jason is going to say (honestly) that I will always love Sam and that's not going to change, but I need to do what is best for the baby. Then Liz not wanting to settle is going to turn him down when she realizes that he may care for her deeply, but he doesn't love her the way that he loves Sam or the way she wants him to love her. Just my opinion. Let's see how it plays out.

I never bought Jason's "love" for Sam. I just can't buy it cause of how he acts around Liz. He seems human around Liz, moreso than anyone else IMO.

He wouldn't have cheated on Sam so easily if he was madly in love with her, and he wouldn't have let Alexis force to leave Sam, even if he thought it was for a good reason, so easily if he was so madly in love with her.

I'd say Jason's as much in love with Sam as he was with Skipper ;)

I don't buy Jason's love for Sam, either. I used to. I liked the idea of JaSam, but then came her acting as Alexis described as pathetic and degraded, then the Pass Around Ho spread 'em for her stepfather, and I was just done. Sam lost major points with me during the whole Alexis Bashing/Sleeping With Ric storyline.

When Jason and Liz were together the night of the blackout, Jason, as Zen Fan mentioned, was so much more human. He was tender and his eyes lit up. I've always felt a connection between them. The only, only, only problem I have with Liason, is that I don't want Liz involved in Jason's lifestyle. Sam can handle it because she has no self-worth. I just can't picture my girl, Liz, patiently waiting up for Jason as he goes out to do a hit. That part of Jason's life is not her. So do I want them as a legitimate couple? No. But do I want them to share that unspoken bond that ONLY the two of them share, by the way they simply look at each other or help each other without expecting anything in return? Yes. Jason and Liz is what Carly wishes she and Jason had. I love their scenes together. To me, it's classic "maybe in another life" type of love story.

Sam sucks. I hope Sam gets run over by a mack truck. Sam's lousy. Sam sucks. Sam should die.

no he doesnt love Liz. With the exception of this marriage crap, everything that Jason has done and shown has proven that he loves Sam. He is not into Liz like that and is ONLY interested in her for the baby. I hope she's not pathetic enough to go and settle down with him when he clearly wants someone else. She will only be hurting herself in the long run.

I really hate him right now. Im sure I will settle down, but not today. I know most hate her and want him with Liz, but that was completely disrespectful of him to do to Sam. If the man that you loved, were planning a future with came to you and told you he is having a baby with someone else, is getting married to her and he's done with you, how would you feel? He already has a fiancee who he loves and just a few days ago, was tearing up and talking about how he cant wait till they get married and have their own children together. He finds out he got another woman pregnant and is quick to propose and hasnt even given Sam a second thought. Like where does she fit into this equation? If he can disregard her that quickly, that makes him one of the biggest jerks out there. If a guy did to me what Jason did to Sam today, Id tell him to go to hell. This is the second time he's done this to her. He hasnt even spoken to Sam first! He pretty much threw her to the side with that "proposal". She hasnt done anything to deserve this and has done nothing but love him and stand by his side for the past 2 and a half years

He never cheated on Sam. They were not an item during the ONS

Awww... thank you, both. :P

The reason I love Liason is because, unlike Sam and Laura Wright's Character, Liz doesn't go around yelling and making sure everyone knows just how important she is to Jason. Liz knows where she and Jason fit in each others' lives, and that's that. But the other two banshees are soooo insecure and have virtually non-existant self worth, that they need to scream at the top of their lungs JASON LOVES ME! I'M JASON'S BEST FRIEND! JASON LOVES ME! I'M JASON'S BEST FRIEND!

It's like, great, girls. Fabulous. Do you want a cookie?

Jason and Sam are just forced. That's all it is. Forced.

Liz and Jason were AMAZING today. I thought today's episode reminded me of the old General Hospital. Steve and Rebecca were brillant. I had chills when he said "Just marry me" Ahh!!!! PLEASE! Put these two together!!! Haha.

Thats because he doesn't love Sam anymore, today proved that. When he and Liz slept together, both of them acknowledged that they still had feelings for their ex's and Jason is scared that Liz still really loves Lucky and she's still scared he loves Sam. What I think is going to happen is, Jason will agree to let Liz and Lucky pretend that he's the father but its going to burn him up and he will be the one who outs it to Lucky and Sam. Jason won't get Liz unless he fights for her. Thats what she wants. Jason proved today that he has never really gotten over Rick and Sam sleeping together and he doesn't trust her. But she was a security blanket also when he thought Liz didn't want to be with him like that and he was scared to lose her.

I don't doubt that Jason loved Sam but its in the way that you love yet dismiss someone who will break their neck to do something for you. You never respect them. And everyone knows that's true, when you know someone adores you. But Jason is unsure of Liz. Its a position he's never been in before, being the one that has to beg and fight for a woman.

Damn Sin, thats exactly how I feel. I love the fact that at the end of the day, Jason and Liz share something special, and they have that baby. Will it last forever? I doubt it because soaps never do, but I will enjoy it while its here. And Liz being the one that finally carries Jason's baby to term is just RIGHT. Its perfect.

But I like that Liz is the one that has that little piece of Jason noone can take. He couldn't even stay mad at her. He admires her too much and knew where she was coming from. He said "I can't hate you." Sorry but that was beautiful. Jason actually had tears in his eyes. He called the baby a miracle.

I'm sorry gang but I was a puddle on the floor at 2:59 pm today. February 20, 2007 was a day for Liaison Lovers.

    • And this came out as the "feud" and the media pushing the protests in Los Angeles got all the media attention. They know the press and the public will not care or can be manipulated into approving.

    • Hope you will enjoy the 1976 storyline from the Daytime serial Newsletter. The show had just expanded to an hour so new characters and stories were required. The Soderbergs had been writing since late 73 and the show was still #1. Looking foward to comments and discusssion Pt.1  For over two decades As the World Turns has depicted the events in the lives of two Oakdale families: the wealthy and influential Lowells and the less affluent but equally respected Hughes family. Judge Lowell’s granddaughter Ellen is married now to Dr. David Stewart, whose adopted son, Dan, is actually her own illegitimate child. Dan was once married to Dr. Susan Stewart, by whom he has a daughter, Emily. Dan then married Liz, the ex-wife of his late brother Paul. Liz was the mother of Dan’s daughter Betsy, who believes to this day that Paul was her father. Liz died tragically the day after their wedding. Ellen and David have two daughters, Carolann (Annie) and Dawn (Dee), now of college age. Dan has recently fallen in love with Kim Dixon, who was about to divorce Dr. John Dixon until injuries suffered in a tornado caused amnesia and left her with no memory of her love for Dan. John is using this respite to solicitously convince Kim of his love for her. Nancy and Chris Hughes had three children: Bob, a doctor, Donald, an attorney, and Penny, who, after tragically losing two husbands due to automobile accidents, is now living in Europe, where she is married to a racing-car driver. Bob was married while very young to Lisa Miller, then a scheming and selfish young woman, whose machinations destroyed their marriage. She is the mother of Bob’s son, Tom, who is divorced from Carol, who is now married to Jay Stallings. Tom is currently married to Natalie Bannon. Bob later married model Sandy Wilson, a marriage which ended in divorce, and Sandy is now married to Norman Garrison, who is her partner in a beauty products concern. Norman blames Bob for Sandy’s  recent disillusionment with their marriage, and, ironically, Norman suffered a heart attack during his verbal assault on Bob at a Hughes family party; and while Bob rode with him in the ambulance to the hospital, Bob’s beloved wife, Jennifer, Kim’s sister, died in a car crash while driving home alone. Lisa, more mature and considerate of others now, is married to attorney Grant Colman, but her life has been complicated by the recent arrival in town of Grant’s ex-wife, Joyce, and the incredible news that she and Grant had a child after their separation, a child Joyce gave out for adoption but now wants to reclaim. Now the story continues... The picture has now come clear for attorney Grant Coiman. He has learned that his ex-wife Joyce neglected to tell him she had a child shortly after their divorce and had given the boy to Mary and Brian Ellison for adoption. Grant, after seeing the adoption papers and considering the boy’s interests, tells Mary he feels the child should remain with them; they are providing a fine, stable home for him. Grant’s wife, Lisa, is pleased with his decision, feeling he has thus closed the door to the past and they can now go on with their own lives. But Joyce has learned that attorney Dick Martin is now back in private practice, and she tells him she was confused when she gave Teddy up years ago and wants him to represent her in a custody action to get her son back. Dick tells Joyce she has a very weak case but he’ll do what he can. He goes out to Laramie to see the  Ellisons, upsetting them very much. Grant, meanwhile, has confided in Chris Hughes, his law partner, that while his name was on the consent form for the Ellisons’ adoption, he didn’t sign the papers; he had, in fact, never known that he had a son. But he’s afraid to open a new can of worms by signing a consent form now, as that would reveal that the adoption papers are not legally correct. Grant confides the situation to Lisa, explaining that if he wanted to,  he could probably get custody of Teddy himself, but that’s not what he feels would be best for the child. Mary Ellison finally breaks under the strain of Dick’s visit and tells Brian that Dr. Paulk, the doctor who arranged the adoption, told her he didn’t know where to find the baby’s father and so he signed the consent form himself. She painfully explains she kept this secret knowing that Brian wouldn’t go through with the adoption if he learned the papers weren’t legally sound. Brian quickly calls their family lawyer, Jerry Butler, who immediately phones Grant to be sure he backs the Ellisons’ claim. Dick realizes from Joyce’s story that Grant couldn’t have signed the papers and tells him he knows. The only person who has a right to file for Teddy’s custody now is Grant; he’s the only injured party. And the moment he files, Dick can sue for invalidation of the Ellisons’ adoption. Grant finally files, to settle the custody question once and for all, but technically he's filing for custody himself. Tom Hughes and Natalie Porter are married in a small, lovely ceremony at the home of his grandparents, Nancy and Chris Hughes. They honeymoon in the Southwest and return full of expectations of happiness. Natalie is disquieted, however, when flowers arrive which are not from her new husband. She covers by pretending to check with the florist and tells Tom it was a wrong delivery and they have told her she might as well keep them. But she knows who sent them. Natalie is upset when, shortly after, Luke Porter arrives in town and seeks her out. But Luke insists he is there only to assure her this is a final farewell and he has now decided to concentrate on. making his own marriage work. Sandy Garrison, Bob’s ex-wife, is working at the  bookstore to fill in for Natalie. Her estranged husband, Norman, recovering from a heart attack he suffered during a drunken confrontation with Bob at the Colonnade Room, is still telling anyone who will listen that Bob and Sandy are having an affair, but ironically will let only Bob care for him at the hospital. His recovery is hampered by his easily aroused temper. Norman anxiously tries to persuade Dr. John Dixon to convince Bob to swear he slipped at the restaurant, thus making them liable for a costly lawsuit, but John won’t do this. Chris discovers a large amount of money missing when checking the books on the Garrisons’ business, but doesn’t want to upset Sandy with this. More to come...

    • In the current environment, while it's small, there is a crumb of good news: Apparently, San Antonio voted for a DEMOCRATIC mayor, Gina Ortiz, beating the "right-hand man" of Gov. Greg Abbott, former Texas Secretary of State Rolando Pablos. https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/5337199-gina-ortiz-jones-wins-san-antonio/
    • Love this! You are both adorable. Wow
    • I have not gone back to watch much of 1987, but from what I've seen lately, it doesn't feel like the writers or producers had any sort of plan. The show feels as if it's constantly in flux.  I will give it credit for this. It's watchable for the most part minus Lisa/Jamie which I find nearly unwatchable now.   I don't find Cheryl mousy. I think she has a lot of quiet strength, but she was saddled with the Scott romance which the writers did not invest in. She had a good friendship with Julie (also criminally underused), and her interactions with Ada were enjoyable as well. I also like Layman, but Spencer was extremely talented and when Cass returns, Schnetzer and Spencer have some wonderful scenes. Spencer also fits in with Alexander, Hogan, and Marie.  I'd forgotten just how much I missed seeing Wallingford. IT was so good to see him again. Even when they didn't have a major plot, Felicia/Cass/Wallingford/Mitch always brings a smile to my face.
    •   Dani’s cute ass party planner. He gave me some tea but I was so drunk I don’t remember it.
    • NBC must have been grateful to have LHOTP, it's only hit and still strong after several seasons. Their next established show was Rockford Files at 45th. They didn't develop any comedies and relied on movies and mini series  which didnt establish viewer loyalty and habits. Their only new hit was mid season's Project UFO which debuted Feb up against Rhoda/On Our Own on CBS and How the West Was Won on ABC. It opened with a strong 36 share beating CBS and close to ABC as HTWWW had a 36 share over 3 hours. The next week UFO saw a respectable 32 share, then a 31 so it was slipping. A 28 share followed but a few weeks later it jumped back up to a 34. So no blockbuster but compared to what else they had, there was potential, So next season NBC sent it to Thursday up against Mork and The Waltons and it bombed.  They were smart to see potential in Chips, which took off on Saturdaysnext season. ABC was on a roll with Love Boat, 3's Company, Taxi, Eight is Enough adding to their hits. Their only real flops were Redd Foxx and San Pedro Beach Bums, an Aaron Spelling misfire. Like Redd Foxx, Harvey Korman was lured to ABC but his series was a filler that did well but was considered a time slot hit. Nancy Walker and Rob Reiner were also given series on the philosophy that not only were they popular names, their absence from popular shows like Sanford, Rhoda and All in the Family might weaken those shows. CBS were relying on old favorites. Betty White was strong the first few weeks then faded. Incredible Hulk was their strongest newbie. It was lucky for CBS that NBC was doing so badly or else some of their weaker shows would have really suffered.
